The Grande Victorian is a stunning historical event venue! Built in 1884 this beautiful 12,000 square foot home sits on 20 acres in Monroe, North Carolina. We have a covered outdoor Pavillon for your ceremony, a large manicured courtyard for cocktail hour and a 5,000 square foot formal ballroom for your reception. Our newly renovated second floor bridal suite is a "photographers dream", equipped with a kitchenette, makeup -up and hair room, a mother of the bride and mother-in-law suite, and a breathtaking bridal and Groom Suite. This venue is the most amazing venue I toured while planning. It’s was absolutely stunning and everything I wanted in a venue. The venue coordinator is very nice, however, at times it was very difficult to get in touch with her. There is no staff to cover if she happens to be out of the office (which made it stressful as it closer to my wedding). Overall, I would recommend this venue for any celebration. I also loved that I had to option to bring all of my decor and vendors. My overall experience was a good one. My wedding was beautiful and everything turned out great.

Brides and Grooms, be wary, this was probably the worst experience I’ve had with a place yet. I scheduled an appointment almost a week out, and arrived 10 minutes early to my appointment, I was not greeted, and waited 20 more minutes for someone to talk to. I ended up searching through the venue to find someone and found Angie, who was amazing and helped me, even though she didn’t work there full time. I did get a tour, but only a quick run through, and when I waited for the coordinator to speak to me privately, she started asking me questions almost like she was just trying to finish my visit so that I’d leave. All while in front of another group, super embarrassed. After reaching out to Amy, I was greeted through text after voicing my concerns, that I should’ve been more reasonable because they were short staffed and she was behind. She said that Angie was qualified to help me, but I disagree, because Angie herself said that she was not qualified, loved Angie though. I responded that I would’ve gladly rescheduled my appointment, instead of driving the almost two hours to tour, but that it wasn’t my responsibility to check in and make sure that they’re on schedule. Truly disappointed. Even spelled my name wrong.

Our family had the joy of experiencing the Grande Victorian venue for our daughter’s wedding. The venue was an absolutely fantastic place for a wedding! The renovations which took place to the property are breathtaking - Southern dream. One of the best experiences included collaborating with Amy Plyler. Her attention to detail, follow up, and care for our daughters wedding should be on the front page of the Charlotte Observer. Dream come true venue and we continue to hear rave reviews from our guests!

I would recommend the Grande Victorian to any one. I got married on March 26,2022. Amy was awesome If you ever on getting married go to the This venue Amy is the best she walk ever step of the way with me . You would have thought she was family well now we took her as our family she is the best. She made should that everything was just right before I walk down that aisle. Thank you Amy your the best.
