About this venue

The Publishing House B&B is an urban loft in the heart of Chicago’s hottest neighborhood, the West Loop. The former Free Methodist Publishing House was built in 1909 and has been reimagined in 2017. The Publishing House is available for bookings for wedding group accommodation and weekends can be reserved up to two years in advance. The house accommodates up to 24 guests in 11 rooms and provides exclusive use of the property and our staff for personalized service and fully customized breakfast options.

The space is large enough to hold reception drinks or a catered rehearsal dinner for 25 - 55 people. Wonderful natural light makes for the perfect location for hair, makeup and photography on your big day and best of all, you don’t need to travel anywhere between different locations all weekend.

We are partnered with Solo Salon in our building to make your wedding preparations glamorous and stress free, providing full hair and makeup services along with lash extensions, manicures and pedicures. The tasting room at the Press Room Wine Bar and Restaurant is also available to reserve for groups of up to 20, cocktail style.

    What an incredible find! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome and cherished. The sunlight streaming from the windows pulls you upstairs, past the absolutely adorable pups, and bathes you in a glow as the scent of a freshly-baked afternoon snack makes you think twice about returning to your perfectly-appointed room. We'll never stay at another hotel again while in Chicago --- and all of our guests said the same!
