The Riverview is a place like no other. We are a modern event venue on the beautiful waterfront setting of the Farmington River. The Riverview captures the beauty of Connecticut while bringing glamour and elegance to your reception. Since the building opened in 2008, our unique blend of personalized comprehensive service, architectural grandeur and intimate waterfront landscapes have set us apart and attracted guests from across Connecticut, New York and Massachusetts. We strive to make dreams into reality for each and every one of our clients… and to make their event the first and most memorable part of their happily every after.

Beyond the architectural windows and dance floor this space includes, a covered outdoor ceremony space with gazebo and gardens, a patio full of cocktail style furniture and bistro lights, and riverfront access.

West Ballroom
This ballroom brings the outdoors in like a cozy hug.
Inside the ballroom the windows are filled with views of the trees and river; bringing the rustic outdoors into the elegant chandeliered reception space. The outdoor covered ceremony space has full river views all the way to the mountain range, with traditional English style garden and gazebo.

Perfect Day at The Riverview
Our experience with The Riverview was incredible from start to finish. The process of booking included a detailed tour of the venue and a thorough review of the terms and conditions at a meeting to sign the contract, leaving us confident that we fully understood what we were agreeing to. Our tasting event was a wonderful chance to see the team in action and make some decisions about our own menu based on what we did and didn’t like. We worked with Kayla and Meghan as our coordinators, both of whom were a pleasure to work with and extremely responsive throughout the planning process. We were able to take advantage of their expertise based on experiences with past weddings but still had the flexibility to customize the details of the day so that it didn’t feel like a “cookie-cutter” event. And the physical space is truly beautiful! Our planning experience was wonderful, but the experience with the venue and team on the day of our wedding was exceptional. Meghan’s positive but firm leadership kept things moving smoothly and between her and our attendants, Cam and Felicia, every detail was attended to! They were prepared for everything, even wardrobe malfunctions, makeup mishaps, and last-minute requests. We did quite a bit of DIY planning and customizing, but on the day of, we did not need to lift a finger! We were especially impressed the the special attention paid to our priorities. My husband and I were excited about our menu and prioritized food during our planning meetings. At our wedding, the venue made sure we had plenty of opportunity to eat, but the excitement of the day took away our appetite. The Riverview team packed up all of the food we couldn’t eat and sent us home with our leftovers (plus some!) so that we still got to enjoy our meal! Another item worth noting is that although two weddings took place that night, we never would have known it! We could not hear the other wedding in our ballroom and never encountered the other group during the entire time we were on site! In short, planning our wedding at The Riverview was an amazing experience, and the wedding day itself was even better! I’d encourage anyone to book!

The Riverview was an absolutely fantastic venue for our wedding. Their communication throughout the planning process was fast, organized, and incredibly helpful - they were always there to assist whenever we needed anything. The quality of their work and attention to detail was truly breathtaking, creating an elegant and timeless setting for our special day. They even went above and beyond to make sure our bridal party was well-fed and taken care of. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful and stress-free wedding experience. Highly recommend The Riverview to any couple looking for an exceptional venue.
Perfect Wedding Venue
The Riverview took care of our every need. Kayla was so great to work with she was great with communication and always had the answers to our questions. Our day went perfectly thanks to the amazing staff at the Riverview. Our guests loved the service, food, cake, and Italian cookies. The cookies especially were such a hit! I would choose the Riverview as our venue a million times over!
A Magical Day
The Riverview exceeded all of our expectations. While the venue is absolutely beautiful and the food is tasty, the service is what truly blew me away. We felt like royalty on our wedding day, and our guests raved about the staff as well. Our coordinator, Chelsea, was a dream to work with. We first met with Megan 6 months away from our wedding date and we specifically requested for her to be our assistant coordinator since we were so impressed with her. They were both responsive, informative and caring during the planning process. On the day of, they were at the ready with shout wipes, hand sanitizer and safety pins for our mini emergencies. We felt at ease knowing we were in great hands! I highly recommend The Riverview for your dream wedding.
