About this venue
Willowdale Estate is a private mansion, just 30-miles north of Boston, Massachusetts. Located within a 720-acre state forest, and along the pristine Ipswich River. Our private estate is the perfect setting for a New England wedding ceremony and reception. Our coordination team and catering staff will execute your plan with grace, leaving you free to enjoy the party and mix with your guests. At Willowdale Estate, we host two wedding seasons. Our Tent Season from May-October is perfect for parties between 125-240 guests, and our Mansion Season from November-April is better suited for smaller parties between 80-125 guests inside our Estate. As you search for a venue, we would love to hear from you! We can send open dates, host a tour of our space, or create a quote for you. We celebrate the differences that make each client event unique, and warmly welcome people of every race, religion, and gender identity. Thank you for viewing our venue!

Tent Events (Mansion, Tent, and Garden)
Your once-in-a-lifetime celebration deserves a one-of-a-kind setting.
Tent Season events include our private mansion, garden, and Sperry Tent. Guests enjoy the historic character of our estate, the beauty of our Garden Courtyard with a variety of flowering plants and trees, as well as, multiple access points to the mansion. Dinner and dancing are hosted under our Sperry Tent. Our restaurant-style catering is prepared on-site by the Willowdale Estate catering team, and we include support from on-site event coordinators.

- Bistro lights along the perimeter of the tent, with lanterns on the spruce center poles - Covered walkway connecting the tent and the mansion - Dining, cocktail, and café tables, and garden chairs - Tent heaters and fans available for use as needed; the Estate is air-conditioned and heated - Parking attendants - Three private hospitality suites for use during your event - Dance floor, courtyard bistro lights, and other custom features can be added (additional pricing will apply)
Mansion Events
Easy to plan, impossible to forget.
Events in the mansion (November - April) include full use of the main floor of the estate, with access to three private suites on the second floor for getting ready. Indoor events are cozy and romantic with warm wood tones of the house, festive, and lights. We are happy to incorporate personal touches that keep our century-old mansion vibrant, dynamic, and full of life. Our mansion features leaded stained glass windows, stone fireplaces, and intricate wood molding.

Bridal Shower
Rachel and all the staff at Willowdale Estate was an absolute pleasure to work with for our Bridal Shower! The communication was always prompt, efficient and helpful throughout the entire planning process and the venue was truly breathtaking. Everyone was friendly and attentive, making it a wonderful bridal shower experience! They ensured that this special day went off without a hitch! I highly recommend Willowdale Estate to any couple looking for a stunning venue with exceptional service.
The perfect wedding venue!!
From day 1 of touring Willowdale Estate, we knew we wanted to get married there. The charm and beauty of the estate are second to none. There aren’t many venues like it that you and guests spend time inside the venue! The staff is such a well-oiled machine, and takes care of all the details. We were so lucky to work with Jordan, our wedding coordinator. She took care of every detail and vision we wanted well in advance so we didn’t have to worry about anything! The wedding day was so smooth and in order, we were able to be completely present and enjoy the day! You can’t go wrong having your event here!!

From the moment my husband and I first reached out to Willowdale Estate, we were impressed by their fast, helpful, and thoughtful communication style. The team was incredible throughout the entire planning process, patiently answering any and all questions we had. We felt like we were working with people who had a handle on every small detail, which allowed us to fully enjoy our special day. The Willowdale Estate is a truly gorgeous, romantic, and spacious venue that exceeded our expectations. The beautiful grounds and elegant indoor spaces provided the perfect backdrop for our wedding celebration. We are so grateful to the Willowdale team for helping make our wedding day an absolute dream come true.
Perfect for Bridal Shower
Willowdale Estate was the perfect venue to hold my daughter’s bridal shower! From the moment you drive up, the estate is so impressive. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and bright and have so much character. We were able to add personal touches on their bookshelves and mantel, and do minimal decorations since the room is already so pretty. We did a brunch buffet, and the food was amazing! Especially the baked goods and gluten free scones - everybody loved them. Attention to allergies and gluten free needs was exceptional. Communication with staff was excellent, and the day of the event ran very smoothly. Everything was done on time and according to schedule, with nice touches like help getting all the gifts outside on a provided cart. Shout out to Rachel and Emily who were both so helpful and organized. I wouldn’t hesitate to hold an event at Willowdale!
