“We got married just over a week ago at the Franklin after booking nearly 2 years ahead of time and genuinely can not say enough about how amazing this venue, management, and staff were. When we met Christina and Danny on our tour we pretty much knew immediately that the Franklin was perfect for our wedding day not only because the venue is absolutely stunning (which it 100% is) but also because of how much Christina and Danny cared about their work and making our day special. Leading up to our wedding we had our tasting which was so much fun and felt like an event in itself, we worked with Cate and Emily (members of the Franklin management team) on our final details which made the day go so smoothly, had our decoration set up (they were so accommodating with time and giving us access to anything we needed, it made everything so easy), and lastly our rehearsal which Emily helped lead and with her guidance we were in and out in no time with all of the knowledge and practice we needed for the big day! And as if all of that wasn’t amazing our wedding day was so perfect largely because of how much work the franklin team put in for us. They helped us with anything we asked and worked with our vendors beautifully. The food was fantastic, Emily helped with day of coordination and was flawless, and the rest of the team was onsite almost the whole day. “I cannot say enough good things about our DJ (Jon)! My now husband and I had some concerns regarding some of our family members and we discussed them with Jon prior to the event. Jon respected our wishes and was so professional about everything. He handled things extremely well. We had an issue with the pastor who married us. We had asked the pastor a week or two prior to the wedding if he would at least come by the reception hall to say the blessing at the wedding (He said yes at the time.), and he no-showed. Jon had announced that the pastor would come up and say the blessing, and of course there was radio silence because we quickly realized the pastor wasn’t there. Once we told Jon that he didn’t show up, Jon said a quick blessing and our meal began. We started the dances, and we could not keep people off of the dance floor. Jon kept pace with the crowd so well and everyone had such a blast! What my husband and I didn’t realize at the time was that my husband’s Uncle Joe had a surprise song picked out for us as well as green Irish polo shirts made for all of us (inside joke) and we essentially had a bit of a flash mob at our wedding. Kudos to Jon for going along with his idea! That was so funny and it made our wedding so special. Overall, it was a wonderful evening and I truly hope every couple is blessed with a DJ like Jon. I don’t think he could have done anything better honestly. You will not find a better DJ in the St. Louis / Metro East area! Thanks Jon!”

Rice + Co. Events was founded in March 2022 as Charley Rice Weddings with the vision of bringing intimacy and personality back into weddings. Charley was ordained by the American Marriage Ministries that same month and began performing ceremonies shortly after. In January of 2023, she began accepting coordination clients as well. Since then the business has grown almost entirely from word-of-mouth. Currently, Charley Rice Weddings offers three comprehensive officiating packages and two comprehensive coordination packages in addition to event rentals, honeymoon planning, and other add-ons.

She set up all of my decor exactly how I wanted it to be done, took it down at the end of the night, and arranged for an easy pick up later that week for the extra stuff we couldn't take home that night. 10/10 would get married again (just to work with Charley again!!!)”
