Staff was excellent day of. Food was wonderful guests said. Venue was beautiful for photos and weather behaved in January so we got to watch the sunset. Everything was amazing w Portofino. Price was excellent for what we got and in SoCal on the water venue “boutique hotel.” My only critique is doing room blocks and anything to do with their computer system accounting takes a second and is a little out dated takes two days or so- but I like to get things done or get emails asap so that’s just me. Other than that wonderful place will be going back to stay at hotel! Amazing reception! Exactly what we were looking for! And the location is just totally awesome too. Our friends and family loved being able to stay in the cabins near each other. The location is nestled near the foot of the Sequoia National Park with majestic views, sweet animals, and an idealic river that runs through the property. We felt like we had so much freedom in curaring the event that fit our needs & desires as a couple when so many other places are prescriptive in their use. We also felt welcomed and enthusiastically accepted as a lesbian couple. Not only did we have an incredible time being present with the ones we love, but to this day family & friends tell us it was the best wedding venue they’ve ever been to. We loved it so much, we rented the property just two months ago to celebrate our anniversary.
