The DJ kept the party going all night with a good song selection, though they did play 3 Taylor Swift songs in a row at the start, which we would have preferred more variety. The MC's ad-libs got a little overbearing at times, but overall they did a nice job sticking to the schedule and making important announcements. We'd recommend HiMotive to other couples looking for an energetic DJ.”

His organization and professionalism were top notch - and filling out the "must play" and "must not play" lists was really fun to do - we got to think about all of our favorite songs that we were excited to hear, and make sure he knew which songs were off limits for us. Because of that, our wedding felt super personalized, and we loved every song that played! We were also particularly thrilled with his execution of cocktail hour - we requested instrumental versions of modern/classic rock songs, and he found SO MANY great versions of so many great songs. When we talk to family and friends about our wedding, they without fail mention how much they loved the instrumental version of "Wake Me Up Inside" by Evanescence. After our wedding, we recommended him to friends of ours and we got to see him again at their wedding the following year! I would give him more stars than 5 if I could.”

They always responded quickly and they even let me add vidiographer to the wedding at last minute! “Now for the details: Brandon, Kellie, Elmer, and Becky were excellent to work with. They were communicative throughout the entire process and even sent monthly checklists to ensure the wedding planning timeline was ironed out and reminded you of the small details that most folks forget about. It’s the little things like these emails that went above and beyond to make sure our evening went as smoothly as possible. Our DJ, Elmer, was very enthusiastic despite challenges at the beginning of the event – the venue coordinator was very combative with him during set-up – and he didn’t let it affect the energy of the evening. (We didn’t find out until after the wedding date from our other vendors setting up and we had to reach out and ask about it because he didn’t want us to worry at all). He provided a high energy level and hits for dancing the whole evening and stuck to our favorite music vibes. Our photo booth operator, Becky, pulled us aside to take photos in the booth and thank goodness she did because we didn’t get the chance to go in before or after she pulled us aside. She put our guestbook together throughout the evening and it was fun to have something that captured our night to look through the next morning. Signature DJs was reasonably priced considering everything we received - music for ceremony & reception, mics, uplighting for dance floor, photo booth with guest book, monogram, and bubble exit complete with 2 bubble machines and bubbles for individual guests. They were flexible with our requests (customized monogram, unconventional timeline, and last-minute song additions) and had already worked at our venue so they were already familiar with the space which was super helpful because the venue coordinator was awful to work with. They put us at ease and gave us confidence that our day would be wonderful when we were the most stressed.
