“Yanique is innovative, brilliant, sweet, and an absolute light in the room. The first conversation I had with this woman, I wanted to work with her. You speak with her, and you can hear her smile; you can tell how passionate she is about this work. In that first conversation, she listened to all the varying thoughts I tried to communicate, and she turned them into ideas. I had about five conversations with Yanique where I said, “I think where I’m struggling is - I don’t know what I want.” I thought I did! I said I liked wildflowers! I said I hated roses! But then she’d show me a bouquet, and I’d say, “oh I like that piece,” and she’d say, “okay…so that’s a rose, just a different color rose.” She was so incredibly patient with my naivety, and she walked me through every possible option we could do. I’d show her something on pinterest, and she’d verbalize all the ways we could possibly make it happen, being communicative about how much it would cost, or she would be honest and let me know if it wasn’t possible. She sent me ideas, color palettes, boutonnieres, and was always ready and willing to hop on the phone. She was even happy to provide feedback on bridesmaid dress colors.
