I have a dirty little secret… I never wanted to be a wedding planner. It was never something that was on my radar. The series of events that led me to this industry is, to be honest, not very exciting, inspiring, or important, really, so I’ll skip that part. (Feel free to ask me later.) What is important is that my heart is in help and service. Born and raised in St. Louis, I’ve gained a lot of knowledge about local wedding vendors, traditions, and styles. But after working 12+ years in the industry, I’m down for anything and love working with a couple that has a unique style and vision for their day.

I launched Allyssa Elaine Events in 2016 and have been spending the last few years in awe of what I get to call my job. I have planned, coordinated, and designed over 250 weddings since our beginning and we are already booking fast for next year! Rice + Co. Events was founded in March 2022 as Charley Rice Weddings with the vision of bringing intimacy and personality back into weddings. Charley was ordained by the American Marriage Ministries that same month and began performing ceremonies shortly after. In January of 2023, she began accepting coordination clients as well. Since then the business has grown almost entirely from word-of-mouth. Currently, Charley Rice Weddings offers three comprehensive officiating packages and two comprehensive coordination packages in addition to event rentals, honeymoon planning, and other add-ons.
