My husband and I couldn’t find time to leave the dance floor because their compilations just flow from one to the next. My only regret was not having more time to chat with our guests for longer because we simply couldn’t peel ourselves off the dance floor. It was also very fun working with the band for all requests. They learned our first dance song so quickly and even sent me a sample of a shortened version of the song to practice to with my husband. “What an amazing experience working with Joey. He was very thoughtful in curating the music for our day and I hope you find what you are looking for with him. I am a wedding vendor of 15 years as well doing hair, makeup and morning concierge. One of my past brides at one of my most favorite venues to work at is how I was introduced to Joey. After coming out of the hair room I love taking a moment to walk around the venue and there he was playing the cello along with some background music. I was hooked. I love that he was incorporating songs of today with the art of an instrument. I found it unique and something I wanted to showcase at my wedding. I didn’t want people to walk up to just music playing in the space, but an experience. Joey took the time to do 2 calls with us, one being over the phone and the second being over zoom. He came with a detailed questionnaire of how we wanted our wedding to go. It was so detailed that even a music mood girl I didn’t even think of. The calls were scheduled for 30 minutes but he didn’t hesitate to chat with me for over an hour on how I wanted it to be curated. I had already started 2 wedding playlists, but he added and sent me 5 to 6 albums to fill out of songs I loved and wanted. I had over 10 hours of music to play and not only did he take those into consideration he added music that my guests also requested. He even accepted me saying change this song and only play the 10 year olds music every 10 songs He needed to set up in two spaces, one for the ceremony which was outside on our property. He was set up and playing by the time guests arrived. Everyone I spoke with loved the music selection, which I told him “Bridgerton vibes” and he ran with it. After the ceremony his assistant had music playing for the cocktail hour while they broke down the equipment in the ceremony area. I was blown away by the lights that were brought and the look of everything. Microphones worked for speeches and he even had a stand for those who wanted to use them. We didn’t do a traditional walk in but he announced us perfectly and we ran around the tables saying hello to our friends and family. I would recommend Joey to anyone looking to have an experience for their guests, have a DJ but also want strings all in one. He was professional, timely and for someone who did not have a day of coordination or planner very informative. I wanted vendors to do what they do best and I’m glad I trusted him to provide us with music throughout the day and night!”

AMP DJ/BAND HYBRID is a boutique event company owned & operated by husband & wife team, Jimmy & Ana Salvemini. Having performed around the world with Gloria Gaynor, Luther Vandross, and George LaMond to name a few, the Salveminis were looking for an innovative way to bring that same quality of showmanship and professionalism to your special event! Our DJ/BAND HYBRIDs are carefully crafted to your needs giving you limitless musical possibilities!

“Words can’t express how much we loved working with Ana & Jimmy and the entire Amp DJ Band Hybrid. My husband really wanted a band while I really wanted a DJ, Amp DJ band was the perfect mix. We found Ana & Jimmy immediately and were able to schedule a meeting with them the next day. We knew right away that they were right for us. They were extremely attentive and outgoing from the start. They answered all out of questions and addressed concerns we had. We booked them immediately because we didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity to work with them. We met with them several times through our 6 month planning process. They responded immediately to any questions that popped up along the way and even allowed us to make a last minute change the night before. They well exceeded our musical playlist, taking the songs we requested and tailoring the rest of the music to fit the vibe. There was a perfect mix of live songs and an awesome dj set. The amount of compliments my husband & I received about the band far exceeded anything we expected. All of our guests LOVED them (of course as did we). So many people reached out that night or the next day to say how impressed they were with Ana, Jimmy & the whole band. We also had an acoustic guitar player at our cocktail hour which was amazing. If you’re debating getting a band for your wedding because your heart is set on a DJ, seriously look no further than Amp DJ Band hybrid. You will not be disappointed. I want to have another event just to work with them again!”

“Hiring Josh was a no-brainer. As a die-hard music lover (and an unapologetically picky one), finding a DJ who would actually listen to what my husband and I wanted for our wedding felt like a challenge. I gave him a very specific "do not play" list and a handful of "must plays," and not only did he execute it flawlessly—he live mixed and multiple times I found myself running up to him screaming YES, YESSSS. I may or may not have threatened, "If you play the Cha Cha Slide, you're fired," and he took it very seriously. All jokes aside, we danced til 3 am, and he worked within our budget to create an elevated audio experience that we and our guests absolutely loved. My only regret? That he can't DJ my entire life so I'd actually be motivated to do my chores.”
