Choosing Appleford for our wedding was hands down one of the best choices we made in wedding planning. From the first tour Lisa made the experience as easy and stress free as possible. Their recommended vendors and partnered caters were great, and the open houses they held made selection smooth and gave us peace of mind knowing we were making informed decisions. One reason we loved Appleford was knowing they had a good rain plan - unfortunately, we did have to use this rain plan for some of our day so we were so incredibly grateful that the inside of the estate was stunning and ready for indoor use when the time came. The onsite coordinator was helpful in every respect and helped with everything including wardrobe malfunctions for the mother of the bride (helping to sew her dress when it was needed)! Our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was which was obvious from the moment you step on the property. We cannot recommend Appleford enough and are so incredibly grateful that we chose them for our wedding day!

Absolutely fell in love with the Morris Arboretum the first time we viewed it as a possible wedding venue in February. There were no beautiful f flowers bloomed and the trees had lost their leaves BUT it was still perfect and stunning. The day of our wedding as we drove up to the venue I started to cry bc it was so much more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Not only is it perfect scenic view but the crew omg even better, they have your back, they make it look effortless, it’s just the perfect most magical place.

If you’re looking for an elegant event in a rustic setting, The Atrium @Terrain in Devon, PA is the place to go (@terrain_devonyard / @terrain_events). I hosted a bridal shower here in June 2025, in the evening. The staff is superb. Food drink fabulous. Honestly, I would have every event for my family here. You really don’t even need to decorate. There’s plenty of room to move about and mingle. I am still receiving rave reviews from my guests for the shower. Emily, my 1st contact, quickly gave me all the details for The Atrium – it is dedicated to smaller affairs and booking is available all year. She set us up with Allison for a tour. Beautiful dining area, plenty of area to mingle, gorgeous outdoor bar / cocktail area. I had seen a beautiful flower cart (with a chandelier) reminiscent of the flower carts in Paris at The Atrium. Allison referred me to Brenda Stewart of Proparazzi Photobooths (@proparazzi_photobooths), a preferred vendor. Thru Brenda, we booked the flower cart, a gorgeous flower wall with props custom signs, and a beautiful balloon arrangement made by Briana (@brianarene_luxevents) (separate review on them – they were fabulous). The flower cart served as a flower bar, w/ flowers supplied by our favorite local flower farmer Dawn Zimmerman (@ethyls_backyard). Guests selected flowers bouquets were made by Vanessa Gagliotti (@cethosiafloral). They also did the florals for the tables. We added pillar candles gauze table runners to the tables but added décor is optional. It is elegant with no added décor. The Atrium has plenty of votive candles to add to every table. The food drinks were perfection. Our signature cocktail was the strawberry rose mojito. It was divine – guests loved it. We had a superb bartender. Aside from the delightful signature cocktail, she made one of the best Old Fashioneds I’ve ever had. For the cocktail hour, we did passed hors d’oeuvres – lobster rolls, lollipop lamb chops, Boursin cheese gougères. All delicious. Highly recommend the mixed lettuce salad w/ watermelon, hazelnut, chevre, a tasty red wine/shallot vinaigrette. The signature flowerpot bread is always a favorite. For dinner, we chose the free-range chicken, mushroom risotto, the always superb halibut almondine Desserts were fabulous, all made in house, a selection of honey tartlet, caramel dipped creampuff, brown butter cupcake, cookie truffle, macarons – plus the Terrain black lava sea salt signature cookie. Service was excellent throughout the entire event. We did custom cookies by Emily Retamozo (@emily-retamozo) as a shower favor. Her cookies are gorgeous taste good. We give her details about the honorees and she whips up the most beautiful designs specific to the event. There was some rain on the day of the event – but no problem. The dining area is fully enclosed. The bar area is outside but protected by foliage. The staff preferred vendors know exactly how to set up in the case of rain. Huge thank you to Paige, my event coordinator, for shepherding me through the process and always being quick to answer my emails. So important! On the day of the event, Bridget was our event concierge. Many thanks to Bridget for helping me run the event, making helpful suggestions, keeping us on track, being able to adjust when I changed the flow of the event. We never felt rushed. It was perfection. Photos courtesy of the engaged couple’s friend Alex Dale (Photo cred - @Alex_dale111).

Stunning venue - the display garden is truly a one in a million place to get married. We initially planned to have our cocktail hour outdoors as we wanted to highlight the reflecting pool but unfortunately the weather didn’t permit - we had cocktail hour inside and it was still incredible. The whole team there was impressive and the food was truly delicious. My standards for wedding food are pretty low but it was excellent, and many of our guests commented that it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had (and they’d eat it again if they could). The whole team was lovely to work with. So, so glad we got married here!!

Curtis Arboretum is everything we were looking for in our wedding venue!! I was amazed and in awe the first time we saw it in person, & continued to be every time we went back. From the ceremony space under the picturesque pergola, to the detail in the music hall ceiling, this venue is one of our dreams. I immediately loved how our day would flow perfectly, moving from the lawn ceremony area to cocktail hour in the garden, to dinner & dancing in the connected tent & hall. Not to mention the getting ready suites, and the entrance under the stage!!! Curtis has the whimsical garden feel we wanted, with classical, intricate, beautiful architecture that makes the whole area feel like a palace. This space truly is so unique & special for a wedding that we couldn’t find anywhere else!

From the staff to the galleries to the grounds, the Alverthorpe Manor/Abington Art Center was the perfect place to host our wedding. We enjoyed being able to get ready on site and have the ceremony and reception all in one place. Our guests enjoyed the local art and sculpture garden. It was a uniquely wonderful venue for us as a couple who didn't want a "traditional" wedding venue, and as foodies for whom it was really important to be able to bring in our own caterers! Payton, the private events coordinator, was so helpful with everything.
