“Liza photographed our small intimate wedding. From the outset, she set out to make sure the day went smoothly and that we would get the best pictures possible on our special day. We explained to her that our wedding would consist of a very short ceremony and a dinner. The rest of the night would be some games and hanging out, but no dancing. Our original vision was to have her photograph the ceremony, group shots, and the dinner and skip couple portraits. After consulting with her, she recommended skipping the dinner photos (nobody looks good while eating) and photographing the ceremony, group shots, and, since our package left us with a remaining hour, plan for couple portraits before our ceremony. It was great advice and we're happy to have the couple portraits! On the day of she was very approachable and made us feel comfortable during our private session. She was clear when directing and arranging folks for the group photos. All of the pictures turned out great! I would definitely recommend Liza for any wedding or special occasion!”

“Our goal for wedding photos was to be transported back to our wedding day - more of a storytelling style than formal portraits. Felisha totally nailed it, and somehow managed to capture some extra magic in there too. Leading up to the wedding, Felisha was great at helping us feel comfortable with her, and we’re usually camera shy! We felt like we made a new friend! We weren’t planning to do a “first look”, but after how much we loved our engagement photos we decided to add that element to our wedding day as an excuse to get more time with Felisha and have some more Amazing portraits. During the wedding, Felisha and her second shooter were totally professional and unobtrusive - we didn’t notice them doing their thing, and neither did our guests. She was fun to work with, super on top of everything, and the results speak for themselves. “We just received our photos back from our wedding about a month ago, and we were blown away. We had a feeling the photos would be wonderful because of how professional and attentive our photographer (Athel) was, but of course there is always still that suspense. The team at Indigo and Ivory was wonderful throughout the entire process, always communicative, and it felt like they really cared. Athel even drove a good distance to attend an open house with us at our venue, to get some ideas ahead of time around what settings would be best. He was lovely throughout the whole event, super accommodating of our special requests, and captured all the most important moments. We cannot recommend them enough, the images came out amazing and we are getting tons of compliments! If there is anything I would do differently (and this is not any knock on Indigo and Ivory, this is just general advice for anyone looking to hire any photographer), I probably would have went ahead and added a second photographer for the day (which is something they offer). I wanted to cut costs a bit so we didn't go for it - but of course if you have two you will make sure to get all the different angles you are hoping for and then each person can spend a bit more time with both wedding parties to capture more of those candid moments. I also wish I had made sure to put together a better list of shots that I wanted - once again, these are items that I recommend in general and has nothing to do with Indigo and Ivory. If there are certain things you want your photographer to capture, make sure to write them down and communicate! With all that being said, even if you go with just one photographer and you happen to forget to write down all the specific moments or you just want things to be more free-flow - I 100% recommend Indigo and Ivory for you! They are wonderful and I'm so happy we have these gorgeous images to treasure for years to come.”

“Corinne photographed our September 2024 wedding and we are so incredibly happy we chose her!!! From the beginning, working with her felt so personal. She took the time to get to know us, our vision, and our story. She was incredibly helpful in crafting a timeline for the wedding day, and we were able to pull off a very ambitious/adventurous first look, and still get all the other pictures we wanted! She figured out so many little details for us, and was so thoughtful in the sentimental shots and items she included. She is an excellent guide with posing, a great person to have by your side to fix jewelry, hair, or your veil (about 15 times in my case), all while staying calm, cool and collected. She found opportunities to grab photos I'd have never thought of, and is more than happy to find beautiful ways to make your ideas happen!! She did so much work behind the scenes making sure every detail was recorded, which meant so much to us. All the decorations around the reception, the ceremony site, and more are beautifully photographed so we can go back and remember them. Also, she gave us a great mix of posed, formal photos, and candid, in the moment photos. Our gallery feels so authentic and she really captured the feel and the joy of the day!!! I absolutely loved having an engagement session included in the packaged. She was down for an adventure, and we got to get photos in a place that was very special to us! He recommended the LA Arboretum and the Pasadena City Hall for our shoot and we couldn't have asked for any better location. Jason knew exactly where to go and what to do.
