(See photo by Morgan Wynne Photography) We ended up bringing it upstairs to decorate the reception area after the ceremony was complete. The bouquets and boutonnieres were in a similar style and tied the whole thing together perfectly. We had such a fun time thinking up ways to engage my partner and I's family and friends, and Isabelle came up with the idea for a flower arranging party in their beautiful shop. The day before our wedding, we had our family try their hand at floral design. They had so many questions (ie, "Am I doing this right?" "What kind of flower is THIS?!"), and Isabelle greeted them all with understanding and care. AND there was handmade herbal tea and strong air conditioning on a 95-degree day.
