Sailing Center was a joy to work with, very communicative and helpful, always ready to open their doors to us for umpteen visits to the deck during the planning stage or to lend us supplies like the elegant lights we had hanging overhead on the big day. The wedding itself was a dream. We got married in summer on the large third floor outdoor covered deck with a breathtaking view of Lake Champlain. Sunset made for GREAT pictures on the promenade and nearby dock. We had no problems with all our vendors getting set up and there was more than enough room for both dining area and dance floor for our ~80ish guests. You also get access to a neat attached observation deck, there is a commercial elevator for easy up and down transfer of all rental items, and bathrooms one level down. Just make sure to plan ahead for parking which is metered and public, but there are plenty of spots. The staff is so helpful and caring about performing their positions with perfection. This includes Meesha, in charge of helping the couples with their planning and helping to coordinate their wedding weekend, and so much more, to Tajlei and Melissa, who are owners and Innkeepers, hands on and involved. The chef and his kitchen staff, the wait staff/bartending staff, the ground keepers/gardeners, the handy man who is also part of the staff that does all the wedding set up. I may have missed a department, but, the bottom line is when working there, one feels like family. A family whose sole objective is to give 100% to every wedding, every event.\nThe grounds are so naturally beautiful and the Inn has a personality of it's own that you will not find anywhere else! The team at The Hermitage made the entire process easy, calming and fun and made the weekend lovely, memorable and perfect. Gina was with us from moment one and was a constant professional who was warm, non-judgemental and available whenever needed. She made sure the day of went on without a hitch and took care of all the big and small details, making sure we didn’t need to worry about anything. I was very specific about wanting to start hair and make up later in the day and Gina adjusted the schedule and made sure I had my morning to myself. During the weekend Mercer, Jan, Sarah, Katia and so many others, along with Gina, made it the best weekend with all of our guests saying the same thing. From the rehearsal dinner, breakfasts in the morning, bar service and, of course, the big event, it was all excellent, personal and thoughtful. \nLocation and venue wise The Hermitage was again, perfect. The property and inn are beautiful, luxurious and luscious. It was incredible to have the entire inn to ourselves with our closest family and friends. The carriage house was a perfect home base to not only get ready in but to have drinks at and to have a little welcome event for just those staying at the inn on Thursday night. I have pictures of my parents and aunts and uncles sitting on the porch telling stories which I will cherish forever. The grounds were beautiful for the wedding and even though the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were at the same venue- each part of the weekend felt unique and intentional as the venue offers so many options. \nIts been fun to look at the other weddings that have happened since ours on Instagram because not one of them have looked similar. That must be the magic of The Hermitage Inn and Gina, as they truly allow you to bring your own wedding to life. \nCan’t wait to come back for a weekend and reminisce. It is nestled inside of rolling hills and the land is covered in beautiful orchards and picturesque white buildings. It was like a scene out of a movie--and it really was, as Good Will Hunting was filmed there! The process of planning the wedding with the staff at Scott Farm was truly seamless. Simon was kind, patient, and helpful, leading us through all the specifications and details of the site, and making himself available if we ever had any questions or concerns. And Jaja was a rock star--she went above and beyond in every aspect of her duties, especially on the wedding day. Without her calm and confident presence, trouble shooting problems and reassuring an anxious bride and groom, the day would not have gone so perfectly. I can't say enough about how supportive, pleasant, and wonderful everyone is at Scott Farm. The venue itself was gorgeous and the scenery was absolutely perfect for our fall wedding. The new barn was beautifully done and spacious enough for all of our guests. Sam and Jen were the dream team when it came to preparing for the day in advance and for taking the stress off my shoulders the day of. I went into my day prepared to be bombarded with questions and stressed with scheduling but Sam and Jen handled everything for us. I cannot express for grateful I am to have found this wonderful venue and for the support and positivity that came from the staff. Also huge shoutout to Pete the bartender everyone loved you!!
