“We initially went with Sound Originals out of cost consideration and ease of booking because their combined photo/video package seemed so much more cost effective than many of the quotes we were getting from individual photographers and videographers. We assumed therefore that the quality might be a bit diminished by comparison, but were quite pleasantly surprised to discover that this was not the case! We are beyond pleased with the coverage they provided of our wedding and reception, and would certainly recommend Sound Originals to anyone seeking photo/video of their big day. Our team on the day of the wedding were absolute rock stars. Kate, Trung, and Travis all were incredibly friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond in ensuring we had excellent photos and video--both candids and plandids. We're so grateful to each of them for their excellent work! If you're considering booking Sound Originals, there is one practical consideration we might offer, however: Their business model seems streamlined to provide a standardized product and level of quality to many clients at once by contracting with local photographers and videographers--this is great for ensuring that clients know what to expect visually and that the company has backup photographers ready in case any members of the assigned team can't make it, but this also seems to come at the cost of personal touch when communicating with the company and the photo/video team. Our communications with them were always through a portal on their website and often felt rather impersonal. This was a trade off we were perfectly fine with, given the very affordable price we paid for our package and the piece of mind in knowing that even if our lead photographer got sick or something, someone else would be there to fill in. If you, however, require a high level of customization or personal touch and want to cultivate a close relationship with your photographer, then you may want to hire a photographer/team directly.”

She was always on my radar but was unfortunately booked for our date. WOW did that work out for the best. The photographers that came for day of were two INCREDIBLE ladies, one I was highly considering when I found out Tara was booked, the other is now my business brand photographer. Our one big thing was that we wanted to be at cocktail hour for at least half. Immediately he said we would be there for more than that (and he was right!!). On our wedding day, we truly felt like Ramy & Nancy were part of the family. They are the kindest, happiest, and most fun people. Not only did they take beautiful pictures and capture our day so well, but they added to the joy of the day. They made us and our families laugh throughout the day and captured everything we knew we wanted. Their energy is positive and infectious and we loved spending time with them. We never felt rushed around or like we were taking pictures forever. Nancy is also like a fairy godmother in addition to being a great photographer!! She fixed bustled my dress right after pictures, took out my veil, and fixed my bustle numerous times throughout the night. I just can’t say enough about both Ramy & Nancy. I’m a photographer, mom, wife, snowboarder, roller coaster enthusiast, former math teacher, and former mechanical engineer. I love the process of learning, which led to me earning my Ph.D. (but you don’t have to call me Dr.)! I have an extremely short attention span, am addicted to wearing beanies and headbands, and am fueled by chai tea. I'm socially awkward and I make weird faces when I concentrate to take photos. I dress for comfort and for rolling around on the ground, standing in creeks, and climbing into trees to capture the best angles for my photographs — but I do clean up reasonably well on wedding days!

“We used her for our engagement shoot & wedding photos. We didn’t realize that you should choose your wedding photography *style* before you reach out to potential photographers. If you go the other route—book first, learn about the style later—you may end up with photos that don’t match your vision. We came to Carrie after our first photographer disappointed us. She has more of a documentary style with less of an emphasis on the awkwardly posed photos. However, she will still go the extra effort to get an amazing poses shot if you ask. She has such a laid back and positive attitude. I recommend Carrie to anyone looking for beautiful images and a wedding day that doesn’t feel like a photoshoot. She’s a true professional.”
