Z.","reviewText":"From the moment we drove up the hill for our tour, we knew Castle Unicorn was where we were going to get married. Not only is the venue STUNNING, but the service and amenities are even better! My fiance and I were pleased that the food, alcohol, DJ, wedding night suite, linens, tables and chairs, and even decor was covered in our costs at Castle Unicorn. That saved us so much time and resources, which helped make our wedding experience more enjoyable. Castle Unicorn even set up decor up and took it down at the end of the night. There were never drinks or plates sitting on tables because the staff was constantly walking around and picking up, making sure our space looked tidy and beautiful throughout the night. John and Ray went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure that we had a perfect day. They were excellent communicators, invited us out to the Castle for a food tasting months before our wedding, and were on top of everything throughout the process. We were never worried about anything and they truly helped us feel peace. I have heard from several of our 175 guests that we had the most beautiful wedding they had ever attended. From the Castle, to the trees, stunning views from the hill, and water/fountains. It was truly a beautiful and perfect day and we cannot thank Castle Unicorn enough! The cost is scary at first, but we hustled and made large monthly payments so our wedding was paid off by the time the wedding month came along. The service and experience we received was worth the money and more. We were the first to have our wedding reception at Front Porch Vineyards after Lea and Brad purchased the vineyard. They helped us out so much. They had great communication with us and we’re very personable. Lea and Brad set up the exact way we wanted. Then also helped us out at the bar after our bar services could not make it. They made sure that everything went the way we wanted it to. They truly listened to what we wanted and gave us a beautiful reception. The icing on the cake was how beautiful this place is. We booked the whole place out and don’t regret any of it. If I could go back in time and do it again the only thing I would change would have booked the air b&b’s for a few more days! On a whim, I randomly found Community Courtyard. Little did I know it has been a town staple in Plattsburg, MO for 20 years as an event space. The building itself is very historical, dating back to the 1800's. This building is a non-profit and runs as a food bank throughout the week, so you know your money is going to a good cause. They came at very reasonable price (about 70% lower than most places we looked at). Not only that but we got a lot of bang for our buck. They had decor we could use, a sound system, a cute bridal suite, they tore everything down for us for a small fee, and were super flexible with scheduling. It also holds a lot of guests and has ample kitchen space on both floors. From the moment we first visited in person, the owner made us feel welcomed and went above and beyond to ensure everything was just right. Their communication style was excellent, with regular calls and in-person meetings to discuss all the details. The venue itself is truly stunning, with spacious rooms, multiple areas and buildings, and plenty of space both indoors and out. The owner made sure all the photo spots were in perfect condition, and even gave us great ideas on how to use the different spaces, like the small church-like building and the multiple stages overlooking the river and wooded areas. We felt so taken care of, and the owner was always checking in to make sure things were going smoothly leading up to the big day. Being able to rent the venue for the full weekend was an added bonus that allowed us to really make the most of the space. Overall, we could not have asked for a better venue and wedding experience.
