We moved from Colorado to Arkansas shortly after getting engaged, and because we had already selected a wedding venue in Colorado, our plan was to hire Max for engagement photos in Arkansas only and go with a CO-based photographer for the wedding. After meeting Max and hearing his story, we knew we were going to forgo our original plan and hire him for both sets of photos. Our engagement shoot was so much fun, and my husband and I both felt comfortable the entire time (which is rare for us, we're awkward people!). We knew once we got our engagement photos back that hiring Max for our wedding was the right choice, and man did he prove us right! The second he arrived at our venue on wedding day, he fit right in and made everything feel fun instead of stressful. Our family, friends, and guests are still raving about how much they loved our photographer because he was a joy to talk with and brought such a positive energy to the event. “A few things that stood out the most about Isaac were how responsive he was, how he was able to accommodate to our budget, and how he took pictures from angles and views that turned out great on the photos. As a couple with demanding careers, I much appreciated how quickly Isaac was with replying to emails. We had a pretty tight budget, and Isaac was able to offer us a package that landed pretty close to our budget and only had the items that we needed the most (mini engagement photoshoot for the website and wedding day). Our ask for him was to get some candid shots as we feel pretty awkward in front of the camera. I personally think that the wedding day pictures came out more naturally because of the setting being surrounded with friends and families, and Isaac and Sushen did a great job capturing the candid moments beautifully. Isaac even had an idea for me to pose by climbing up a wooden stair ladder for a shot that I honestly wasn't sure how it was going to turn out while doing it, but it ended up turning out beautiful and magazine-like in addition to other ones that he asked us to pose for. Isaac put together a behind the scenes video that also showed the reactions of guests to our photo place cards before we had entered the reception area, and this was lovely in that we got to see our guests' reactions that we weren't able to see.”

I am a Huntsville, Alabama native, but moved to Nashville after graduating from the University of Alabama in 2013. ROLL TIDE! Although I consider Nashville home, I am anything but a homebody. I love traveling and exploring new places (especially the food at those places!). I even studied abroad in Italy, which let me tell you, was a food lover's dream. “We hired Kendra as our wedding photographer last summer and had a wonderful experience. We specifically were looking for a documentary-style wedding photographer, so we got a bunch of great candids of us and our family. We also got great portraits and family photos, so best of both worlds! The film photos turned out spectacular :) She went above and beyond from the start, helping us sketch out the day's schedule so we knew how/when she would be helping us. During the day she was super on top of things, and made us feel comfortable when taking photos (we don't take a ton of photos so this was super nice!). We had some specific small decorations/moments we wanted to make sure she captured and she did a great job of that without having to talk about it on the day of. We got a quick sneak peek in less than a week, and a full brilliant set of 800 photos in a couple months!”
