This was absolutely the best experience we could have asked for. The owners were so easy to work with. You really felt like they were in this business because they love what they do! We did not have to worry about anything, the venue was perfect for our wedding. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married. Me and my wife got married in Jacksonville and came here for our wedding dinner. The venue was very well priced, not far from our wedding chapel, and private. I had about 100 people come and everyone fit well. The location was beautiful! I have kept up with Whispering Pines after my wedding and they have continually improved the site! they now have many trees planted in the area, created a cute bridge to take photos on, and cleared out parts of the forest to make room for even more improvements. The owners are hard workers and great people. The price was great, you wont find any place that offers the same size venue for the amount of time they offer for cheaper. I hear that people try to haggle which is insane to me. It is worth full price and everyone who comes here loves it. One other thing, the owner runs a catering service too! It's fully licensed and she can cater to your wedding in almost any style you like (Janna's Kitchen)! We went with her and she made us Italian and Slavic cuisines. She makes the best Slavic food I have ever tried in my life. I highly recommend. I would give 10 stars if I could. Absolutely recommend. Please visit them and see what is available for you!

Cody and the team at Tortuga Jacks were perfect for our rehearsal. From the moment we inquired, his communication was super fast, helpful, and informative. The venue itself was perfect - the room was a big, open space with a Bluetooth sound system (so we didn’t have to pay a DJ), with plenty of room for dancing, socializing, eating, and a full bar. On the day of, the room was set up beautifully, and Cody even helped cut our cake for us. The decorations were absolutely gorgeous and really made the space feel special. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

We were very pleased with the professionalism of the sales and event planning team. The sales team went out of their way to accommodate our late request for a meeting. And the handoff to the event team was flawless. Our event coordinator was helpful when reviewing our options for food and drink selections and very responsive and flexible to our requests. Our experience with rooming requests and lists in other weddings (3) had not been great, but with this hotel and our event planner, everything was exactly correct and with all requests met. Our suite was the perfect size for entertaining all weekend. The food at the Welcome Party was beautifully displayed and delicious. The Duval room was the perfect size and the attending staff and bartender could not have done a better job. We also hosted a Farewell brunch and again the room size was perfect and the food was “best brunch food ever” as exclaimed by our guests. We would highly recommend this hotel !

The Riverside house was not only gorgeous, but everyone there was so amazing and welcoming and it truly was the best spot to have our wedding! Ashley was so kind from the beginning all the way to the end! Anytime I had a question, she had an answer! I felt so comfortable and they made sure our wedding day ran smooth and that we were comfortable and happy with how everything was going. Truly, it is a beautiful venue and I would recommend them to anyone still needing to find a venue!

St. Andrew's Episcopal Church (aka Old St. Andrew's) was designed by architect Robert S. Schuyler in the Gothic Revival style. Schuyler also designed St. Peter's Church in Fernandina, built in 1881, as well as chapels in Waldo, Fairbanks, Pablo Beach, and Lake Santa Fe. St. Andrew's was built in 1887 on a single level using brick masonry and contained a massive front corner tower with louvered belfry and steep spire roof. It stood at 317 Florida Avenue, now 317 A. Phillip Randolph Boulevard. St. Andrew's was the only major church in the city that survived the Great Fire of 1901.

They genuinely care about their clients and personally see to it that every detail is carried out to perfection, going the extra mile. Our company performs at over 500 weddings and special events a year, having served clients at thousands of venues in the country in the course of 10+ years, and can honestly say that The King and Prince is hands-down one of our favorites. The space is versatile, the view is impeccable, the staff is accommodating to client and vendor needs, the food is outrageously delicious.. There are not enough words to describe how thankful I am for everyone at Club Continental. The Club Continental was an incredible venue for our wedding day. From the moment we first inquired, Carla made us feel so welcomed. And no matter how many ridiculous questions I had, their communication was fast and thorough, addressing all of our questions and providing helpful suggestions. On the day of, the staff went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly - and me, being a dummy, forgot all about a Notary. but The Club went out of their way to find us a last-minute notary when we needed one, and assisted with the setup. The evening manager, overseeing the wedding was so attentive, helpful and accommodating the entire time. I can not express how thankful we were to have him there. Everything ran smoothly because of him. The venue itself is simply magic. So incredibly beautiful, with such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It was like stepping into a different world when you got on those grounds. And the stunning natural settings were just breathtaking. We were blown away by the amazing and friendly staff, not only the day of the wedding, but the entire week we stayed there. The breakfast staff was incredible, I wanted to become part of her family!! And let’s not forget the FOOD!! Salivating just thinking about it. They offered a couple food tasting events which allowed you to taste some of their different options before you decide on a menu. This was extremely helpful because what I thought I’d choose vs what I actually chose were complete opposites, and that’s because I was able to get those samples in. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect location to celebrate our special day and I can’t wait to go back and spend a few days there.
