The historic Liriodendron mansion, built in 1898, was the summer residence of Dr. Howard A. Kelly, one of the four founding physicians of Johns Hopkins Hospital. Sold to Harford County in the late 1970s, the mansion now operates as a historic, cultural, educational, and recreational facility, managed by the nonprofit Liriodendron Foundation, Inc. The warm and inviting clubhouse provides panoramic views from the highest point in Harford County. Our climate controlled tented ballroom has the same incredible views. As does the adjacent lawn for your ceremony and cocktail hour. We have to private rooms inside the clubhouse for smaller events.

The Bel Air Armory is warm and inviting, ideal for celebrating your special day among friends and family. This castle-style building features detailed stonework and turrets, making it an ideal backdrop for any wedding portraits you wish to take. You can even use the Park area of the Armory to hold an intimate ceremony, exchanging your vows against this lovely stonework. Your cocktail reception and dining can take place in the main event hall. This hall features hardwood flooring and generous space that can be used to set up banquet dining for 200 guests with room for dancing. The stage area in the event hall can be used to host your sweethearts table, DJ, or wedding band. This space allows you to play with decor, reinventing it to fit your chosen aesthetic. Bel Air Armory offers the use of tables and chairs included with your rental. In order to fully customize your event, outside vendors are more than welcome.

We knew we wanted to grow our business and expand our reach...but where? We toured many vacant spaces, waiting for something to jump out at us and let us know, "this is IT!". Patience was the key, and soon we were given an opportunity to take over a well-known location in the heart of downtown Bel Air. The Town of Bel Air welcomed us with open arms, and we opened our doors at 119 S. Main Street on March 28th, 2023 - just short of 5 years after we opened our flagship location in Parkville.

From a working dairy farm to a vibrant event venue, The Barn at Grimmel Farms boasts a rich history. Established in 1908, the Grimmel family has farmed the land for over a century. In 2002, the iconic barn transformed from hay storage to a beloved event space, hosting family gatherings and welcoming new memories. Today, it offers a unique setting for celebrations, carrying on the Grimmel legacy.
