It was never my intention to become a photographer. I more or less fell into it. When I first married, I had a friend who was a professional photographer. My love for photography started when I was in high school. I became the school yearbook and newspaper photographer the end of my sophomore year until I graduated. For me, the ending of that journey was the saddest thing about my graduation. I was told being a photographer wouldn’t gain me a living, and I should aspire for something higher. I listened to other people instead of following my heart. It wasn’t until after my father passed away, I realized what I should have done. Now I am trying to regain my dream, and prove to myself and others that you can achieve anything your heart truly desires, regardless of what others may say.
