You speak with her, and you can hear her smile; you can tell how passionate she is about this work. In that first conversation, she listened to all the varying thoughts I tried to communicate, and she turned them into ideas. I had about five conversations with Yanique where I said, “I think where I’m struggling is - I don’t know what I want.” I thought I did! I said I liked wildflowers! I said I hated roses! But then she’d show me a bouquet, and I’d say, “oh I like that piece,” and she’d say, “okay…so that’s a rose, just a different color rose.” She was so incredibly patient with my naivety, and she walked me through every possible option we could do. I’d show her something on pinterest, and she’d verbalize all the ways we could possibly make it happen, being communicative about how much it would cost, or she would be honest and let me know if it wasn’t possible. She sent me ideas, color palettes, boutonnieres, and was always ready and willing to hop on the phone. She was even happy to provide feedback on bridesmaid dress colors. She came to meet us at the venue for a walkthrough (a 3 hour drive for her), so that we could meet in person and chat through what we were both thinking. The flowers, as expected, were incredible. “I had the most beautiful bouquet for my City Hall civil ceremony, but no firm plans for the bouquet post-wedding. My florist friend shared Jackie's contact information with me and I contacted her to see if she had the capacity for a last-minute bouquet preservation. Luckily, she had availability and a few hours later, I was taking an impromptu day trip to Cold Spring with my husband. Jackie met us at the station and was so incredibly kind. She gave us a few suggestions of eateries to check out while we were in town. We had a symbolic ceremony a week later and I was so pleased with the service received with my first bouquet, that I asked Jackie to preserve that bouquet as well. Throughout both bouquet preservations, Jackie was very responsive and answered any questions I had. She shared a layout of both bouquets prior to framing and packaged up both frames nicely, with bags, (this is a big deal when you're taking the train) when we returned to Cold Spring for pickup. I'd highly recommend her services to preserve a piece of your special day.”

Since the venue overlooked a harbor, I didn't want an arch to block the view - instead, Erin recommended a sprawling garden style centerpiece, and it took my breath away! (See photo by Morgan Wynne Photography) We ended up bringing it upstairs to decorate the reception area after the ceremony was complete. The bouquets and boutonnieres were in a similar style and tied the whole thing together perfectly.
