“Definitely Made Our Day Memorable I don't know where to start! When I was looking for a DJ for our wedding, we came across Dance and Joy and I'm so glad we did! I messaged him and got a response right away asking to meet with him. So we met at a public place and he started going through the wedding plans with me asking questions I had never thought of! Together we came up with a rough timeline of events, he asked what kind of music we liked and if there were any special requests. I told him our relationship was centered around our kids and that including them was very important to us. So he played our music with a little twist of the kids music thrown in there and even held a dance contest for the kids. “We were super excited to work with a veteran-owned business for our wedding music. However, the experience was not what we had hoped for. William's communication style was fast and accommodating, but he had a hard time matching the style of music we provided for our playlist (we provided around 40 songs for him and he added the rest to get the time coverage, but we didn't like 60% of his choices so we changed them 2 days before, which he fixed with no complaints!). During the ceremony, the music was skipping (outdoor and separate from reception area) and he ended up playing more guest requests than the songs we had specifically chosen as the couple. One big positive was he had a good balance of talking/directing and just playing music which I really appreciated. Overall, we had mixed feelings but all the issues we had could have been corrected with an equipment check (not sure if this was a venue issue or DJ issue) and preference of our music over the guests. I really liked working with William as a person and he handled changes really well, but I was disappointed to not hear more of my song choices.”
