“Blend was incredible! The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was super friendly and efficient. We are foodies and catering was an important decision for our day; Blend exceeded all our expectations and we are so happy with our choice. Everything was so fresh and we are beyond impressed with what they were able to do in a pop-up kitchen at our off-the-grid venue.
Blend has an extensive menu of options that can be a bit intimidating, but they happily work with you to build your dream menu and to tweak things to your vision. A tasting is included with your booking and we highly recommend taking advantage of it! It was extremely helpful in narrowing down & tweaking some items on our menu. Pro tip: don’t taste the things that you know you’re going to go for (for us, that was the short ribs); use the tasting to choose the sides and dishes you aren’t confident in!
We started off with Asian inspired appetizers and hands down our collective favorite item of the night were the Bao Buns! They were so light and fluffy and had an amazing pork filling and gochujang sauce. We also went off-menu with veggie spring rolls that were a favorite for our vegetarian guests. Our main course included duck and short ribs, which were both delicious, but the stars of the plate were the seasonal succotash and rosemary brown butter smashed potatoes. We opted to include late night food service, which featured breakfast burritos and chicken and waffle bites.
Worth noting: our off-the-grid venue didn’t have an oven, so we had to rent one for Blend to use (we rented through Celebrations). This will be an additional budget line item if you’re hosting an off-the-grid event.
All in all, the talented team put together an amazing variety of food that we are still dreaming about. We loved working with Blend and cannot recommend them enough!”
