My now husband and I had an elope-y wedding so we had to find a really good photographer really quickly-I stumbled across Philip's page and was immediately drawn to the style and skill of his work. Unfortunately I read on his page that he was full booked for the season. I decided to take my chances and reach out anyways juuust in case he would be available on our wedding day (3 weeks away at that point). “TLDR: I could not have picked a better photographer and I truly believe that Annie would be perfect for absolutely anyone. Her energy is infectious in a way that really brings up your excitement levels but also keeps your anxiety down. My husband is very introverted and was really worried about photos, but she kept him comfortable and in his element in a way I truly don’t believe anyone else would have. As for myself, I felt beautiful and gorgeous the entire time because of her and her partner. For the work she did and the amount of effort she puts into our photos, I believe her prices are incredibly fair. If anything, she’s undercutting herself. I will absolutely be recommending Annie to anyone and everyone. Now for the longer part of the review! We got married on May 30th, 2024 and we were doing our wedding a little differently. Instead of doing private vows or doing our vows at the ceremony, we did our vows at our rehearsal dinner. That is also when we allowed friends and family to come up and say something. The reason we did this route is because my husband is introverted and not a public speaker while I am the complete opposite. He also really wanted to see my walk down the aisle as our first look instead of a private look. Me, on the other hand, wanted at least our family and close friends to witness our vows. So we compromised! On top of it being two separate days, I was very adamant that I wanted two photographers along with wanting to capture the little things, such as my grandparents holding hands or our friends doing silly things at a table. I don’t mind staged photos, but I really wanted more natural focused shots. It was surprisingly difficult to find someone who was able to both days and within our price range. When we stumbled upon Annie, it felt like fate. She was so easy to figure things out with. Instead of an engagement photo session, she was happy to do our rehearsal dinner instead. She was there for any questions I had and the forms she had us fill out were super detailed! It really helped getting our thoughts together and deciding what was most important for our wedding. The day before the wedding, she vibed so well with everyone at the rehearsal dinner. She even got perfect photos of our dogs, who are honestly like our children. The day of the wedding, Annie and her second photographer (who I’ve completely blanked on the name, my fault for taking so long to write a review!) were amazing. Every single one of our friends had compliments for them and just LOVED their energy. Annie kept me calm and collected while the second was fully invested in my husband. I don’t think the wedding would have gone as smoothly without those two. The photos I received back? Better than I could ever dream of. Truly. They got beautiful shots of my grandparents dancing, my dad talking to one of his nephews, his mom talking with his brother. Just candid shots that looked real and natural. I am unbelievably so happy with Annie and the work she put in for us. Photographs are one of the most important things for me at our wedding and she truly blew it out of the park.We thank her for all her work from the bottom of our hearts and will always cherish the memories she gave us.”

I will never say no to a coffee date, or a cookie date... or anything that gets us talking and laughing. Whenever I look over my bedside table and see my partner and I hugging, brimming from cheek to cheek in our couples "Ron Swanson & Hamburger" costume for Halloween, all the laughter and jokes come rushing back in. It feels supernatural, the closest thing we have to teleportation. & this is why I feel so incredibly honored to give this little piece of magic to you.

“My fiance and I have never had pictures before, except those awkward family photos most people had growing up. Stephanie and I met virtually after I saw her work and immediately I felt comfortable, seen, validated, and most of all...I trusted her. She seemed confident in taking pictures to capture a date (as she lovingly put it.."act as though it's a normal date but you have paparazzi") and made us feel comfortable-we didn't have to put on a show to get amazing pictures. Upon meeting at Enchanted Rock, she gave us a sweet speech about acting like she wasn't there unless she gave us directives- my fiance loved the directives, he's good at following those- and every single picture made it clear why she is pursuing a career in photography. There were even times when Stephanie would step back after a picture and smile, like she KNEW she had taken a great photograph. We are so excited to have these hanging in our home soon as we start building a "how it started and how it's going wall" in our home. When pictures are wanted in the future, I know who I am going to call-and you should too! John is a master of not only natural light but off camera flashes which is a rare skill these days. Notice how great his reception photos look! Some photographers prefer to not even post their reception photos because they pale in comparison to the images they are able to get in daylight.
