Texas Rock House is a labor of love. My grandparents built the house and barns in the 1940's as a working farm for their family. My mother was the youngest of seven children that grew up here. I grew up almost across the street with my mom (Joyce), daddy (Buddy), and brother (Larry). Larry and I spent almost every Friday night here - listening to his records on Grandma's old record player or sitting on the back porch swing counting the number of cars on the trains as they passed by. Built in 1884, located in Downtown Cameron, Texas, The Venue at Railfan bring an elegant chic ambiance with exposed brick, elegant chandeliers and grand staircase. It is fully climate controlled, with a commercial kitchen, ample onsite parking and seating for up to 350. The Venue hosts Weddings, Corporate Parties, Quinceaneras, Celebration of Life and other large events.

Bingham Ranch Events is a beautifully wooded venue sitting on 78 acres with multiple outdoor ceremony sites to choose from. We have a large outdoor pavilion for your reception, with twinkling lights hanging from the ceiling. Under the pavilion is a large catering room as well as men and women's restrooms. The 1850's white house is 2,600 sq feet, and the entire house is available for the brides and her party with a very large bridal suite, with ample mirrors and great lighting for hair and make-up. The men have a separate "men's cave" to comfortably hang out with a large tv, refrigerator, 2 separate bathrooms and a large game room attached. The rental time is 12 - 14 hours. We provide all the tables, chairs and white linens included with your rental. We do have other items available to rent, such as arches, floral decorations for a minimal rental fee if you so choose.

Summers Mill Retreat and Conference center has been built on a rich history. When it was founded in 1998 by Paul and Jane Meyer, they wanted "this place to be a ministry and to lead with a servant’s heart based on Christian values and principles." The name of our retreat center goes back to the grist mill built by John Myers in the spring of 1866. Business was good and within a year, he added a saw mill and a cotton gin. When John Myers died, it passed in rapid succession through the hands of Robert A. Myers, Douglas McKenzie, and D.C. Summers. Summers installed a crossroads store and secured a post office under the name of Summers Mill.

Hi! M’Kensie here, the younger counterpart of this mother-daughter duo and also just so happen to be much of the story behind how the barn came to be. I was in my final year of college and planning a wedding for the Summer of 2012. I was so very blessed to grow up on our family farm, with a dad who loves to build things and who wanted to make all my Pinterest dreams come true. So as wedding planning began, construction started going up, and PLOT TWIST, the groom and I broke up…..that’s when our family realized God had much bigger plans for the barn. So with a little more time to dream, and much more time for construction, Lone Oak Barn was born. My mom left her teaching job behind, and I joined a few years later, neither of us knowing the community we would gain. Every couple, every family, every vendor, non-profit, and company we’ve hosted has become part of the Lone Oak Family. Our hope is that you’ll come on in, stay awhile, and most importantly, come back and see us.
