My husband and I got married at Svetlik Farm on September 5th, 2020. We had to cancel our wedding on two separate occasions, due to COVID-19, and Svetlik Farm was so helpful, understanding and responsive when we had to tentatively schedule backup dates. We heard horror stories from couples who had to postpone or cancel their wedding, with other venues who refused to postpone it or give them their money back. We’re so thankful we chose Svetlik Farm - they are the sweetest, most caring ladies to work with, and made our day and the wedding planning process as stress-free as possible. This family-owned business, truly cares about you and your special day. Not only are they amazing, but their venue is absolutely gorgeous. There are sweet touches in every square inch. From the chandeliers to the barn doors, and shiplap covered walls, it was truly the barn wedding of our dreams. We comfortably fit all our guests, and our vendors were seamlessly able to enter from the back caterer entrance. There’s a full caterers kitchen, which makes it so easy for set up and clean up, as well as for your guests to walk through to serve themselves, if you choose a buffet style meal. There is spacious room for additional seating on the side of the building, on artificial turf, as well as in the back of the building underneath a beautiful pavilion. The views in the back are unreal! Overlooking gorgeous farmland, and with unbelievable sunsets; our wedding pictures came out beautifully. Not to mention, they have a silo bar! There were so many unique touches, that our guests from out of town, could not stop talking about. They even have a full weekend package, where you can rent the venue from Friday - Sunday, allowing you to have ample time to set up (and time on Sunday to clean up) so you don’t have to rush out the night of your wedding. In addition to the gorgeous venue, the owners also run a flower shop in town called The Flower Box. They did all of our arrangements, bouquets, boutonnières and corsages and everything was SO beautiful! We would highly recommend checking out Svetlik Farm for your wedding. If you are looking for flexibility, easy-to-work with people, a rustic barn venue that needs minimal decor (because it’s naturally so gorgeous) you’ve come to the right place.

We had our wedding at Camino Real in September of 2024 and it was the most amazing day! We loved this venue. It was SO beautiful and comfortable for us and our guests. The getting ready spaces were so welcoming and had everything we could possibly need and there was plenty of space for our bridal party to get ready. Krysta was so helpful and hands on throughout the entire process- she was our coordinator through Marino Made Events as well and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience with her! This was truly my dream venue and made our wedding such a special day.

Why Is Texas an Exceptional Wedding Destination?

Texas offers an incredible variety of wedding settings across its diverse landscapes. You'll find everything from romantic Hill Country vineyards to stunning Gulf Coast waterfronts that provide perfect backdrops for your special day. The state is home to countless venues that showcase authentic Texas character while still matching your personal style. Think rustic barns where longhorn cattle graze nearby or sophisticated urban venues with dramatic city skyline views that'll impress your guests. Many Texas venues incorporate unique regional touches you won't find elsewhere; live country music that gets everyone dancing, mouthwatering BBQ stations and custom boot favors that celebrate local heritage. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, you'll find Texas venues ready to accommodate your vision.

What's the Average Cost of Wedding Venues in Texas?

Wedding venues in Texas typically cost between $3,000 and $30,000+ depending on what you're looking for. The national average runs about $6,500-$12,000 which represents roughly 25% of your total wedding budget. Your overall wedding costs will depend largely on how many people you're inviting to share your special day:

Guest CountAverage Total Wedding Budget
50 guests$19,410
100 guests$32,365
150 guests$44,545
200 guests$55,433
250 guests$66,322
300 guests$77,211
In Texas specifically, venues typically account for about 16% of your total wedding budget with couples spending an average of $6,932. This gives you plenty of room in your budget to customize other elements of your celebration that matter most to you and your partner.

Which Wedding Venue Types Are Most Popular in Texas?

Texas venues offer distinctly regional experiences that capture the state's diverse character. Hill Country locations around Fredericksburg give you gorgeous vineyard settings with beautiful limestone architecture and sunset views that will take your breath away. If you're considering Houston, you'll find venues that thoughtfully incorporate bayou landscapes alongside sophisticated cosmopolitan amenities. Dallas spaces tend to showcase luxury urban environments with elegant design elements that create a refined atmosphere. Fort Worth venues perfectly blend Western heritage with modern conveniences for a uniquely Texan experience. November emerges as the most popular month for venue inquiries across the state, so you might want to plan accordingly if you're interested in this popular time frame.

How Far in Advance Should You Book Your Texas Venue?

Texas couples typically book their wedding venues about 16 months (or 457 days) before their wedding date. November stands out as the most popular month for venue inquiries so planning early is essential if you're considering this timeframe. This advanced booking timeline helps you secure your preferred date since popular venues often fill their calendars far in advance especially for prime weekend dates. Booking early also allows you to lock in current pricing before annual increases that many venues implement. Plus you'll have more time to work with venue coordinators to customize floor plans and discuss details that will make your celebration uniquely yours.

Where Can You Find Accessible Wedding Venues in Texas?

Madera Estates in Conroe stands out for its commitment to accessibility with fully paved event spaces that accommodate wheelchair navigation throughout the property. You can host up to 330 guests here and the venue is frequently praised for physically walking through accessibility needs during the planning process. You'll also find excellent accessible options at Jennings Trace near Houston which offers single-level celebration spaces. Hummingbird Hill Weddings in Chappell Hill prioritizes inclusive design throughout their venue and The Preserve at Canyon Lake features wheelchair-friendly pathways connecting all major celebration areas. These venues ensure all your guests can fully participate in your special day regardless of mobility considerations.

Which Texas Wedding Venues Offer Outstanding Culinary Experiences?

The Bell Tower on 34th in Houston delivers exceptional dining experiences under Executive Chef Sergio Arellano. His international culinary team creates gourmet meals on-site that will impress even your most food-savvy guests. Food-focused couples should also consider Steiner Ranch Steakhouse in Austin where you'll enjoy spectacular views alongside premium cuts of Texas beef. Cisco's Salsa Company near Tomball has built a reputation for their award-winning Mexican cuisine that adds authentic flavors to your celebration. Avenida Brazil Churrascaria Steakhouse in the Houston area offers a unique Brazilian steakhouse experience with tableside carving and a festival atmosphere your guests will remember long after the wedding day.

How Can Texas Venues Support Remote Wedding Participation?

For couples wanting to include loved ones who can't attend in person, several Texas venues now offer more than just basic streaming services. Venues like Agave Estates Mara Villa and The Middleton Venue in Katy specialize in creating interactive remote experiences that make distant guests feel truly present. You can work with these venues to design custom interactive elements that go beyond passive viewing. Think virtual guest books where remote attendees can leave video messages remote toasts synchronized with in-person celebrations and even coordinated dance moments. These thoughtful touches ensure everyone feels included in your celebration regardless of where they're located.

What Wedding Expenses Should You Budget for in Texas?

Beyond your venue there are several other key expenses to consider when planning a Texas wedding. For a typical 150-guest celebration your budget will likely break down this way:
