The venue is absolutely gorgeous, from the floor to ceiling windows, tall ceilings, huge bars, and high-end finishes. Everything was sparkling and new. Having two spacious hospitality suites upstairs to get ready in (or to touch-up during the reception) was a huge bonus. \n\nThe staff at the BEC was amazing, from our initial tour to the day of. They are experts in the hospitality industry. They got back to us quickly with any question and were extremely accommodating with all our requests. Even our vendors commented how great they were to work with! \n\nFood was very important to us and the BEC nailed it! It was difficult to narrow down our hors d'oeuvres choices because everything was so amazing at the tasting. The chef was extremely accommodating to all our requests, including a huge raw bar during cocktail hour which was the talk of the wedding. \n\nLastly, I can’t emphasize how convenient it was for our guests to stay in the hotel next door. Our guests stayed at the DoubleTree which was a 2 minute walk, or they could take one of the shuttles that staff were running back and forth. We also had our afterparty in one of the hotel ballrooms. Staff from both the BEC and Doubletree worked together to make this seamless. It will be even more convenient now that the connected Home2Suites is open for guests! Overall, our experience with the Bristol Event Center was a 1000/10. The backdrop was absolutely gorgeous, and the ceremony was even more beautiful than we could have imagined! The photos we got were stunning. I can’t imagine how beautiful it would be when the trees are full!\n\nBrie, our day-of coordinator, was phenomenal. She was on top of every detail, quick to respond to any issues, and made sure everything went off without a hitch. We never had to worry about a thing because she had it all handled seamlessly. She has impeccable taste, and we loved that she was comfortable voicing her opinion on small details we couldn’t decide on. \n\nCurt and the entire catering team did an amazing job—our guests are still raving about the food! From cocktail hour to the late-night snacks, everything was delicious, and they even accommodated last-minute dietary needs without hesitation. If I had to pick one item that I would eat every day for the rest of my life, it would be the mini monte cristos from cocktail hour!!!\n\nThe staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. We were never without a drink in hand, and the bar service was so efficient that there was never a line. A special shoutout to Cheryl and Chrissy, who were always right there whenever we needed anything. They even checked in with other guests to make sure everyone had what they needed for a fun night! We live in NYC and planning a wedding while out of state seemed a little daunting, but the whole team here is so professional, responsive, friendly and welcoming that we felt comfortable we'd be able to plan from afar. We really wanted an outdoor element to our wedding while still having modern amenities and South Farms was the only place that checked all of our boxes with its beautiful fields, mix of indoor/outdoor spaces, interesting history and features, exposed beams, modern bathrooms, temperature control, and a charming indoor/rain option. The spaces all have great bones with a lot of room to make things personal and unique, and we felt the staff was really open to working with us to achieve our particular aesthetic. Jennifer was very accommodating in the beginning with scheduling our tour and answering our initial questions, and as we got closer to the wedding we met our venue coordinator Sam, who is amazing. She kept us on track, was super friendly (and patient with our thousand questions, details and project ideas) and we always felt confident that things were going to go smoothly on our day no matter the situation. We felt pretty organized and on top of everything as the day was getting closer, but so many small things come up that you can't predict and Sam was calm and on top of everything - we are so grateful to her and the rest of the team that worked on our wedding day. No matter how well you prepare, the day moves fast, and you need a vendor team you trust. Not only was all of South Farms dependable, but most of our vendors were from their preferred list, and everything was executed exactly how we imagined. Even working within their preferred list, we still had lots of choices to personalize everything from the caterer, to the lighting, to the decor. All of our guests complimented how beautiful and unique the space was, and how well executed all of our details were (which is thanks to the SF team). From the start of our wedding planning experience, Angela and Tarin were absolutely amazing. They made my husband and I feel so welcome and treated us like family from the very beginning. About eight months before the wedding I tore my ACL and had surgery and Tarin even checked in with me to see how the surgery went and wish me well. As we got closer to the wedding, the girls made sure that everything went off without a hitch. They checked with us about our other vendors, gave us some advice, and helped us double and triple check all of our information right up to the day of the wedding. They reduced our wedding planning stresses by so much!!! The venue was absolutely gorgeous the day of our wedding, the food was beyond delicious, and all of the staff were so kind and friendly. Our personal server, Diana, was truly the star of the show on wedding day. She checked in with us at the exact right time, every time. She never made us feel like she was interrupting, but she was always there right when we needed her. And our drinks were never empty! We truly cannot say enough good things about the Grand Oak Villa and the lovely staff there. They really felt like family. Every single one of our guests remarked that the food was incredible, drinks were made perfectly, and the staff was so kind. Angela even personally greeted our parents the night of the wedding. We did the pass around hor d'oeuvres, the pizza package and the Gatos Tacos. Everyone absolutely loved it! Our guests are still talking about it! P.S. - Don't sleep on those mini grilled cheeses for the pass arounds - like OMG!\n\nThe drinks were obviously great as well. If you haven't been to New Park, go and drink up! You won't regret it! Not a beer drinker? They have a full bar in their event space! Great for any type of drinker.
