She is a joyous person to be around and exactly who you would want coordinating your wedding. She is on time, personable and knows how to run a wedding. The property has a lot of space for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to get ready and many unique features such as the 19th century mansion and the ceremony site area surrounded by large beautiful magnolia trees. The guests love being able to explore the grounds and the couples adore the beautiful, unique flavor of the venue. From the beautiful gardens, to the ceremony views, and the amazing included reception tent – Rosewood has it all. Not only was Rosewood the most beautiful venue we toured, but it had the most to offer. The gardens are so expansive, gorgeous, and well-manicured and there are so many different areas for our guests to enjoy. Other venues had more strict guidelines on what vendors would be allowed, which Rosewood assured us would not be the case. Additionally, the number of rentals needed at other venues far exceeded what we will require at Rosewood. Aside from the venue, Ann and Dan, the owners of the venue, could not be more helpful, knowledgeable, or dedicated. Ann took us on our tour, and I was almost brought to tears with the detailed descriptions given of throughout each segment of the tour. Ann gave us so many touching options that we would have for our day and added professional insight to assist with our planning. Ann has a way of giving you facts and advice without being pushy. As a couple who has no experience with planning a wedding, Ann’s advice was so appreciated. In addition to tips about planning, Ann was able to put both of our minds at ease with how seamlessly our day will run and the promise to be there for us on the big day. Ann and Dan are so dedicated to ensuring your day is perfect and it is very evident with the attention to detail seen around the venue. I cannot wait to write another review after our wedding date next fall. I have had the pleasure of photographing weddings there for the last 12 years of my career. The thing I love lost about Red Barn Ranch are the expansive and gorgeous grounds they have on location. Literally acres & acres of beautiful land! As a photographer, I look for beautiful lighting wherever I go. When I am photographing a wedding at Red Barn Ranch, I know that I will find stunning lighting and backdrops for my clients- to give them the most beautiful portraits! It doesn’t matter if it’s noon or 5:00pm- the light at Red Barn Ranch is uniquely lovely at anytime. I can always find a gorgeous spot with flattering light to make my bride look radiant. My clients have so many options as far as locations to photograph them in- fields of grass, rolling hills, barns, mature oak trees, retired railroads… you name it! It may feel like a trek for guests, but there is nothing like it out there. It's magical when you are here, and words can't describe it. There are so many places on the property to fall in love with. The staff was so supportive throughout our planning process and even more helpful during our wedding weekend — they even went as far as dismantling the front porch when my diamond earring fell through the cracks! Perfect is a hard word to live up to, but Whispertree is effortlessly enchanting and unique. Our wedding weekend surpassed anything that we could've imagined it to be, and we'll forever remember this place. We knew we wanted to get married along the Mendocino coast and the most important things for us were being able to throw a memorable party and have incredible food. During our venue search, we were challenged with the logistics of lodging our guests (around 80) at reasonable price points, quiet hours that would cap our party time and figuring out transportation within a comfortable budget that wasn't cumbersome to our group. We were drawn to the Mac House due to it's insanely convenient location (our guests didn't have to use any cars once they arrived and enjoyed the town at their own pace within walking distance) and beautiful rooms at a very affordable rate but we were hook, line, sinker SOLD when we had dinner at the restaurant and tried their food. WOW. We worked really closely with Summer, who was the awesomely vivacious Mac House coordinator and our personal cheerleader as we embarked on planning our wedding within 6 months. We decided to have our ceremony a few minutes away at Cypress Grove (which the Mac House helped us plan) and due to our party size, opted to host the reception in a tent on the Mac House lawn. Our wedding was truly the best day of our lives and our guests could not stop telling us how incredible the food was, how beautiful the tent looked, and most importantly how much FUN they had. I have to give a special shoutout to the entire staff who worked our event. Everyone was so kind, so attentive, and so lovely that it made a real lasting impression on everyone. I had one guest say to me verbatim \"you never really notice the service at weddings but I noticed how amazing the service was at yours\". We had multiple people tell us that we had the best wedding food they had ever had (we're both in our late 30s so we take that compliment as high praise as most ppl have been to tons of weddings at that point) and our party kept going till midnight before some of our guests spilled over to the local bars to keep going. The only slight bump leading up to the weekend was that it was clear to us that the Mac House was navigating some moving parts with their business this year (dealing with the aftermath of a really wet winter season, ordering new furniture, etc) and it took a while to get answers to certain questions but honestly, at no point was it stressful and it all worked out beyond our expectations. Saya (the GM), Chef Alan, and Summer are all wonderful people and they worked their tails off to give us an incredible weekend that we and our family and friends will never forget.
