The service was very intimate with everyone enjoying the outdoors ambiance. The site is easily accessed from the nearby town of New Meadows. The panoramic view of the mountains surrounding the valley is one of nature’s best. A brand-new covered stage with a sound system was available. We opted to use the open deck overlooking a large pond and attendees were seated casually in a pleasant adjoining wooded and grassy area. As the officiant, I had the availability of a microphone for the service, but the intimacy of the site didn’t really require it.The party area was attractively lit in the evening by strings of tiny lights wrapped around the trees, giving a quite magical ambiance to the whole experience. After the formal service, caterers hired from local establishments, provided excellent food and drink. The evening was enhanced with a bonfire and seating on hay bales and benches while the band performed. A fascinating “Fire Sphere,” a large openwork steel globe, illuminated the area by lighting a campfire inside it.
