“A few things that stood out the most about Isaac were how responsive he was, how he was able to accommodate to our budget, and how he took pictures from angles and views that turned out great on the photos. As a couple with demanding careers, I much appreciated how quickly Isaac was with replying to emails. We had a pretty tight budget, and Isaac was able to offer us a package that landed pretty close to our budget and only had the items that we needed the most (mini engagement photoshoot for the website and wedding day). Our ask for him was to get some candid shots as we feel pretty awkward in front of the camera. I personally think that the wedding day pictures came out more naturally because of the setting being surrounded with friends and families, and Isaac and Sushen did a great job capturing the candid moments beautifully. Isaac even had an idea for me to pose by climbing up a wooden stair ladder for a shot that I honestly wasn't sure how it was going to turn out while doing it, but it ended up turning out beautiful and magazine-like in addition to other ones that he asked us to pose for. Isaac put together a behind the scenes video that also showed the reactions of guests to our photo place cards before we had entered the reception area, and this was lovely in that we got to see our guests' reactions that we weren't able to see.”

“If you're looking for a photographer for engagement pictures, a wedding photographer, or a photographer for any other occasion - stop looking! My fiance and I were visiting friends in AZ shortly after our engagement and we booked Maggie for an engagement shoot at sunset while we were there. To say that we are are OBSESSED with our pictures is an understatement. Maggie was so knowledgeable about the lighting at that time of day and utilized the whole landscape to get great pictures with different backgrounds, not JUST different poses from us. We didn't stay in the same spot during the session as she continued to create new angles to adjust to as the sun continued to set. I felt comfortable asking "hey can we try this!?" and Maggie was more than willing to get excited with us about capturing the kind of picture we had in our mind. Maggie also gave us alot of direction on how to maybe tilt our head, or move a hand over a little bit, or recognized that the shot wasn't going to be great so she just scratched it and moved to the next idea. This was extra helpful to me because I didn't have to "guess how to model" and I appreciated that she made good use of her and our time. Maggie works quickly to get a variety of poses and landscapes, is willing to travel, and seems to genuinely love what she does. What started as snapping photos of friends and family quickly grew into a full blown passion. Fast forward a year, and the two decided to turn their love for photography into something even bigger. Lavenderie Photos was born, and we’ve never looked back! Since then, we’ve had the absolute joy of photographing over 65 amazing individuals and couples. Every session is a celebration, and every love story feels like the first all over again.

“My Husband and I found Lavenderie through Facebook and decided to go with them for our wedding in 2023. They were very affordable and their website and portfolio fit our style. They were very open and understanding to my ideas and what I wanted for my wedding. They brought their own ideas for the photos that I loved and ended up being my favorite ones! We decided to use them again for our maternity photos and they turned out amazing as well! Definitely a jack of all trades for any photo session you’d like to do! They know great places and are very easy to talk to if there’s something you’d like to change! Can’t wait to book my family photos sometime this year! “Working with S&LM was pretty good. They communicated to me closer to the event, and asked me for everything they needed and more. The pictures I have seen so far look great, and the small video I have seen looked good as well. They made sure I got almost all of the specific photos I wanted, and had a take-charge attitude while photographing, and making sure everyone was in the right place and looking great! The DJs were pretty good, but didn't know all the specific songs we mentioned that we wanted played for certain dances/moments. They also didn't announce the first dance until they were hitting the play button, which threw our choreography off until we asked them to restart! Unfortunately, some people missed our dance because they didn't know that it was happening. It still worked out in the end, and all the right songs were played at the right moments. All in all, I would definitely recommend Lights & Sound Media to prospective couples.”
