“We found Lulan Studios about nine months before our wedding day. We were immediately drawn in by their professionalism and their reputation. Lulan is an inclusive photographer who was very receptive to our wedding vision. He and his team were incredibly kind, supportive, and helpful all throughout the process. We elected to go with Lulan Wang himself for our photographer who worked with an associate. After our initial consultation we were turned over to Shannon who was our go to contact for day to day clarifications and vendor contact until Lulan took over just before the wedding. Shannon was immensely resourceful and responsive. She communicated with our coordinator very efficiently and was always on top of our booking. We are very grateful to her as well for making the process so easy and for continuing that communication after the fact. On the day, Lulan and his associate were spectacular. It was clear his associate had more than enough talent for the job just like Lulan, but they divided and concurred by using two different types of cameras for different types of shots. We regret not doing an engagement session with them, but we will likely return for an Anniversary session in the future. We didn’t even need one though, because he is skilled enough that he understood us as a couple immediately. They made us feel comfortable and confident. They hyped us up and moved through the shot list masterfully. Nothing was missed and we captured far more than we expected. Please look through our attached photos as they speak for themselves. One of the most exciting moments was when Lulan handed us a little blue book filled with about fifteen physically printed preview photos DURING THE RECEPTION. A lovely surprise that absolutely shocked me. Turnover was 4-6 weeks and we got ours just before the six week mark right on schedule. We were floored. They are jaw-dropping. We ultimately got 950 photos permanently digitally available for high resolution download and access to a shop with impressive options for prints and albums of a wide array of types and sizes. I’m thrilled to show them to you here and implore you to consider booking Lulan Studios. We trusted in their ability from the beginning and we were not disappointed. They are among if not the absolute best in the business.”

“Where to even begin! Investing in Katherine to do our wedding photos for our August 2021 wedding was the best decision we made, other than getting married! She had done a friends' wedding so I had started following her on instagram long before my husband and I got engaged. We were planning our wedding back west, and so we started looking at photographers back there but I just couldn't find anyone who measured up to Katherine. Listen--if you want "trendy" photos for instagram with lots of filters, orange skin tones, poses, etc--then Katherine isn't for you. But if you want photos that truly capture your day how it really was, then look no further. I spent years pouring over my parents' and grandparents' wedding albums wanting something that felt that classic and real. And real is exactly what Katherine does. She has this amazing ability to be everywhere and no where all at once. I have been in a lot of weddings, seen a lot of wedding albums, and I have never seen a photographer capture candids as well as she does--the photos feel like screenshots from a movie where we look happy and fabulous all of the time! She truly has a photojournalistic approach. She caught every teary hug, hand squeeze, and glance from across the room. And her ability to make every type of light work to her advantage (harsh mid-day, dark dance floor, etc) is truly incredible. And don't worry--she will also get all of those family photos that your parents want and do it in a painless, seamless way! While we were initially hesitant about the cost of hiring a photographer from NYC to shoot a wedding back west, her prices are MORE than fair for what you are getting! She even did a mini shoot with us the night before to get us comfortable in front of the camera and they are some of my favorite photos from the weekend. Also--she made everyone feel so relaxed and comfortable the day of. My bridesmaids were obsessed with her (I mean how could you not be? She shows up in a gucci suit with effortless cool girl energy and is like "let's do this!"), she managed wrangling our very large wedding party with ease and even got my grandma to smile in photos which is a big deal! We woke up the next day to about 15 sneak peak photos from the night before, and had our entire wedding album in 6 weeks! The hardest part is choosing which photos to print! There are just too many that we love. TLDR: Hire this girl, she is smart as a whip, reliable, talented, and a consummate professional!”

“My husband and I couldn't have been more thrilled with our experience with Brittney! From the moment I met her, I immediately knew I wanted her to be our photographer. At a wedding showcase with 30 other photographers, she was the only one I felt comfortable with. She felt like a friend from the start. Before the wedding, Brittney was incredibly communicative throughout the entire process, keeping us informed and helping us plan all the perfect shots and details. She knew what to ask and was so patient with us throughout the entire planning process. One of the standout moments from the wedding was when our 1-year-old daughter, who was the flower girl, had a full-on meltdown. Despite the chaos, Brittney was incredibly patient and worked some kind of magic to capture the most gorgeous and creative photos with our screaming toddler! I truly dont know how she did it but we got great shots of everyone. She was even patient with our dog who had to take frequent breaks from the heat! The pictures turned out amazing, and we are so grateful for her patience, her creativity, and her ability to capture the true essence of the day—even the most challenging moments. We had a very small outside ceremony in Long Beach with only our immediate families. Brittney felt like an extension of our family being there. I truly felt so comfortable with her.
