I personally hate weddings and all the BS that comes with them so Barker House was perfect for me! They have preferred vendors so a bunch is included depending on what package you buy! They are also extremely competitive with their prices so you don't feel like you are completely getting screwed. She went above and beyond what you would consider coordinator duties and even went to the town hall for us on occasions as we were long distance from the Cape! Stephanie took each step along the way to ensure we were able to avoid unnecessary costs, reduce stress, have fun, and plan an event of a lifetime. Not only are you renting a house, where your wedding party can opt to stay and/or get ready, but you're renting a venue with private beach access, just a few minutes from town. It is the ideal location and setup, and its gorgeous beyond words. Watching the ferry go by, the views of the ocean...its pure magic. The best part about Juniper is the amazing photo opps - the dock, the sandy beach, the beautiful wildflowers growing around the property - make for a perfect backdrop - an all encompassing wedding venue. Katie is a breeze to work with and they are super flexible with all special requests. Lissa and her team, the impeccable grounds, the horses, the lawn games, Sophie the dog... Everything was absolutely perfect and everything we were looking for. Tons of our guests, friends and family raved about our venue, saying it is the best wedding venue they have ever been to. When we toured Terrydiddle, we said we'd take a bit to think about it, and we called Lisa to confirm 10 minutes after leaving the property. A great perk they have is their \"open house\" where you can tour the venue while they have it set up for a wedding. It gives you such a great idea of what your day will look like. The bridal suite is so cute and was so helpful for our morning and holding our belongings, the barn and cocktail area is perfect for mingling with people after the ceremony, and the lawn games are just the best touch. Tons of our guests were playing corn hole! The fire pit was awesome for us and our guests too, and we included a cigar table, which was a huge hit! We used Terrydiddle's staff for our bar services, which worked out perfectly. The reception tent is so beautiful and the rental options (arbor, sweetheart table, barrels, etc) make things so helpful for decor purposes and eased some of my stress, as we mostly did mostly DIY. Lissa and her team do an amazing job keeping their property clean and gorgeous. Almost a month later and we have not stopped receiving compliments about our wedding day.\n\nWe got married in early November, so there wasn’t much foliage on the trees, but that did not take away any of the beauty of this venue! We lucked out with weather and had a gorgeous outdoor ceremony in front of the lake. The transition from our ceremony to cocktail hour to the reception was flawless and incredibly well-organized. The venue itself is breathtaking with its large windows, offering stunning views and a layout that allowed for an easy and natural flow throughout the day. There are also SO MANY photo ops, so even if weather didn’t cooperate, we would have had gorgeous photos no matter what!\n\nThe food was nothing short of amazing! All of our guests, even our most high-maintenance ones, were highly impressed from our passed hors d’oeuvres, to our piping hot dinner. They LOVED the cookies & milk station, as well as our late-night french fry bar!\n\nI had been dreaming about this day for as long as I can remember, and I am super type-a, so I have been planning every detail for awhile! It was important to me that certain details were executed the way I had envisioned them. We were assigned Victoria as our Event Producer about 8 months prior to our wedding. She gave us the best advice and suggestions throughout the planning process, which is appreciated when you have so many decisions to make! We had a large wedding of 180 guests, as well as an 8-piece band, so it was important to us to have a large dance floor. Victoria put together the perfect floor plan that allowed us to dance the night away! On the day of our wedding, she setup all of our décor the exact way we envisioned it, and then some! We were so happy to have her there, and she was equally excited to be there for us. We truly did not have to lift a finger once we got to the venue! Our Event Manager, Aubre, kept everything running smoothly behind-the-scenes on our wedding day to the point where we did not have to worry about a thing. Our Wedding Attendant, Emma, was always right there when we needed her! She carried my bouquet or drink, bustled my dress, and even made sure we had and ate our appetizers, dinner, and dessert! These 3 women were lifesavers, and we could not have gotten through the day without them! Their communication throughout the planning process was great - the staff were readily available, super helpful, and made sure all our questions were answered promptly. The venue itself was beautiful, clean, and the perfect size for our 133 guests. The only minor inconvenience was that we were not able to drop off our decor the night before the wedding, and I had to coordinate with friends to bring it on the day of since our ceremony was in Rhode Island at 3pm. The Whaling Museum needs to communicate that with the catering company because they only allow certain catering companies. Come up with a better plan.
