Their knowledge of the island, how the wind blows differently on different sides of our venue, how the light hits perfectly on this side of the venue and we can still get an ocean view — that they care about the power lines and know how to avoid cars in the back of ceremony images. The list just went on and on and on. Working with Eli was like working with a walking encyclopedia of Block Island. And when you're getting married on the island, it's such an asset. Eli helped walk us through other on island vendors, best spots for our engagement sessions, different hotels that might suite certain guests better than others, an amazing casual rehearsal dinner/welcome party idea that was flawless, and I just couldn't be happier. When we got the images though, I didn't know what to say. Eli had captured so much of our story, we felt the same jitters getting ready to walk down the aisle looking through images of moments we didn't. get to experience on our wedding day (we were a little busy, getting married, and you just can't witness everything). Eli was so great with our friends and family, able to choral a few of my drunk groomsmen, while simultaneously making my antsy family members just super at ease and happy. The engagement photoshoot came out beautifully; we tried to time it to coincide with the foliage peaking, and Randall was extremely patient and flexible with us as we tried to plan for and work around the unpredictable Boston fall weather. The engagement photoshoot itself also came out great; even though neither my husband nor I had experience getting our picture taken in this type of setting, Randall made us feel very comfortable and had excellent ideas to take advantage of the scenery. We loved the photos so much we had trouble choosing which to use for our save the date cards. During the weeks leading up to the wedding, Randall was very organized and responsive, and stayed in close touch with us to discuss different logistics and plans related to coordinating with the videographers, timing, portraits with family members, and sunset photos, etc. On the wedding day itself, Randall kept us very calm and relaxed throughout the day, worked seamlessly with the videographers, and also took many amazing photographs that made great use of the colors and light, showed his impressive creative vision, and beautifully captured every part of the day. We were so delighted to see all the photographs a few months after the wedding, and to later work with Randall on a photo album which provides a tangible pictorial summary of our day (in fact, we also had trouble choosing what should go into the album because there were also so many great pictures to choose from). Finally, in addition to our wedding reception last summer, Randall also served as a photographer for our legal city hall wedding last winter, and similarly did an excellent job with that too. In short, we had a terrific experience working with Randall and feel very lucky to have been able to work with him as our wedding photographer.”
