You’ve poured your heart into this day, and I want to make sure you remember exactly how it felt! I’m Hector David, the filmmaker behind Ebullient Memories. Since 2016, I’ve captured over 400 weddings with one goal: to tell your story as true and authentic as the day it happend. From quiet, intimate exchanges to the wild dance floor; I focus on those in-between moments that matter most to you. Based in San Diego, I film across Southern AND Northern California and specialize in creating candid films that feel real, emotional, and true to you.

Awarded Best of Zola
Hector was our wedding videographer last year and working with him was one of the best decisions we made! He was friendly, communicative, professional, open minded, and very budget friendly. On the day of the wedding, you hardly notice he’s there, but was still able to capture the essential moments. The final product exceeded our expectations and everything flowed together seamlessly. Every little thing— the angles, details, candid moments, music, etc., was intentional and beautifully curated. If your wedding is during the busy season, expect a bit of a longer turnaround time, but it’s worth the wait. Trust these other reviews and go with him!

If you’re reading this review, you’re likely considering Steven and Wild Light Films as part of your big day. DO IT!! We were originally drawn to his unique style of work, music-video like approach, and storytelling ability in capturing the essence of people’s wedding days. Working with Steven was incredible and we can’t say enough about how much we loved his work. We booked him back in 2019 for our 2020 wedding, but of course with COVID we had to push it back a year. He was super flexible and accommodating, and we still figured out a plan to have video footage of an intimate ceremony in 2020, as well as the original plan for 2021. He did such an amazing job incorporating the two ceremonies together into one seamless video, which he turned around even quicker than we expected! Steven is a delight to work with—truly a genuinely kind person. His video editing craftsmanship and storytelling are compelling—rewatching our video + highlights felt like taking us right back to the memories and joy of our day. Do yourself and your future self a favor and get Steven to make your wedding video that you’ll cherish for years to come.

Finisterre Visuals

5.0

  • Documentary style
  • Starts at $3,500
  • Serves Paso Robles, CA

So what does finisterre mean? Finisterre is Latin. If you know some Spanish, you’ll recognize two words squeezed into one: “fin” and “tierra,” essentially meaning the world’s end. Don’t worry, not in an apocalyptic sense of the word — it’s actually a place. It’s where the Romans once stood in modern-day Spain. They looked across the vast Atlantic Ocean, and thought to themselves “is this the end of the road?” Finisterre is an ode to that majestic feeling of unknown. Getting married is one of those unique experiences.

We hired Ryan and his team to capture video for our wedding day. We could not be happier with that decision. The video Ryan created for us is a forever cherished memory. The video book he created has been shown off countless times and is now a favorite toy of our son who likes to point out friends and family as they appear on screen. During the wedding day Ryan’s crew were punctual, professional, and very well coordinated. They knew where to be, what to capture, and worked with minimal support from us or the venue staff. They worked great with our photographers. Our photog even praised how easy Ryan’s crew made the day the next time we met with her. The videos that Ryan created for us were exceptional. We wanted a highlights reel style video of two different lengths. Ryan left us with a short video that we were able to post to social media and a longer video we shared directly with friends and family. They captured all of our favorite moments, put everyone into the video, and weaved together the story of the day beautifully. We still tear up rewatching it three years later. I can’t recommend Ryan and Finisterre Visuals highly enough. It’s hard to know who to trust to capture once in a lifetime moments. For us, Ryan will always be our top choice.

When shooting events I have a very hands off candid style. I love to capture people naturally having fun, enjoying the day and creating memories. At Éterna Films, we believe wedding photos and films should be more than just a sequence of beautiful shots—they should be an experience. Motel Cinema

5.0

  • Documentary style
  • Serves Paso Robles, CA for additional fees

Fueled by nostalgic recalling we aim to create a film that is timeless and authentic. Motel Cinema is based out of San Diego, Ca and our approach to weddings is inspired by the untraditional travelers before us, who hit the road in search of adventure into the unknown. We don't like boxes and we don't want wedding films that fit into one. If that tickles your fancy let's get weird.

Awarded Best of Zola
One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was to hire Motel Cinema! As an entertainment marketer, specifically for documentaries, how our wedding would be documented was top of mind for me and I met with quite a few videographers. Brandon completely exceeded my expectations with the moments he caught on film, the editing, the music, the vibe. I really felt like he saw us and reflected it all back to us in the most special way which we will cherish for the rest of our lives. He was an absolute joy to work with through the entire process- easy to communicate with and quick, but also a relaxed energy that fit seamlessly into our wedding weekend. I cannot recommend Motel Cinema enough and I’m so so grateful that we were connected.

I received a bit of bad news only one week before my wedding when the videographer (that I had booked almost a year prior to my wedding date) said she had to cancel. I was devastated!! Allyamore Visuals saved my wedding day!! With very little notice, the team was to the rescue. The professionalism, the advice, the kindness, the help, etc. My ceremony video, the teaser, the highlight reel, PERFECT. It all came out better than I could have hoped for. Stamper Films has been capturing and editing videos since 2014. Our goal is to tell the story of your wedding in a thoughtful, creative, and genuine way so that you and your guests can remember and relive this special day for years to come.

My husband and I were going back and forth on whether we wanted videography at our wedding, and I am so so glad we decided to go with stamper films! Firstly, they were affordable and fit in our budget. Even better, their style is documentary-like filming which we love! Looking at our videos now, it feels like an authentic, real, romantic view was captured. Yan Li was super easy to work with & everything went seamlessly. We felt very comfortable with him & his assistant, and they were so respectful of our photographer as well. Our wedding video makes me cry just thinking about it. Then I turn it on & I really start to cry— our vows overlayed on top of the footage, the scenery & details that were captured, & especially the emotion Stamper Films got on camera. 10/10 and if I ever needed videography again I would go to Stamper Films.

HEYYY! *waves hands* We are Leandra & Clinton Cunanan, owners and lead videographers of Food & Cake Wedding Films. We are huge advocates for doing exactly what you want on your wedding day. We had the most epic wedding of all time (ask us about it!), but we didn't hire a videographer. And now this why we do what we do. It's the best feeling knowing each one of our couples will be able to relive their wedding day for the rest of their lives. We didn't have that, and now we get to give that to you!

I am so blown away by not only the quality of Clint and Leandra's work as videographers, but also what wonderful people they are! Not even halfway through our first zoom with them to talk about what packages they offer and our vision for the day I knew they were the perfect fit for us! Being with them on the wedding day felt like hanging out with old friends, they were amazing at blending in to the crowd to capture candid moments while also giving us prompts that created some of our favorite memories of the day. They worked so well with our other vendors and I don't think our day would have been complete without them. They are masters at what they do, and also the perfect people to have during a busy and, at times, stressful day (Leandra was able to bussle my dress when no one else could get the loop on the buttons AND snagged me some appetizers when I was resting my feet after the receiving line, she was a lifesaver!) My husband and I both teared up watching our trailer and highlight reel, and then happy cried getting to see our whole ceremony, private vows, speeches, and first dances. I know this is footage we’ll be so happy to look back on in the years to come, not just of my husband and I but of our whole families as well! I'm so happy we found Food Cake, you will not regret hiring this fantastic couple!
