She handled my family his family **amazing** on the day of (a feat!), organized multiple second shooters after one dropped out, helped us get coverage of our rehearsal dinner, provided TONS of great recommendations for other vendors - as we were planning our wedding from out of state this was irreplaceable and generous (she recommended our welcome drinks food truck, menu items at our venue, hotels (literally helped us secure our waterfront room), DJ etc.). I really can't say enough good things. Christine's photography style captured the mood of our wedding day. When I look back at the photos, I remember what it ** felt like ** on the day of the wedding, and she captures the laughs/ tears/ joy and emotions of the day better than any other wedding photographer we've seen (and we've been to loads of weddings/ seen tons of photos). If you want to capture the *feel* of the day - more so than have particularly staged photos or heavy edits- this is definitely the choice. No regrets on not having videographer for this exact reason - when I look at her photos I can really feel the day. We are Mark & Brittany Edman, NJ based wedding team. Mark created “This Insane Idea” with the vision that anything is possible. As your lead shooter, he had a passion for photography his entire life, capturing moments around him in the most authentic ways until one day Brittany told him “go full time”, it was insane. He fell in love with wedding photography and the emotion it brought out for everyone involved. Coming home so happy with unique stories and photos from all over the state, Brittany knew she needed to join him on wedding days. Having a background in hospitality for 20 years Brittany began coordinating the day alongside Mark.

“When it comes to Mark and his team, I don’t even know where to start. Everyone always said to me, “when you find the right photographer, you’ll know.” I had no idea what that meant, and browsed dozens of vendors- until my venue (The Inn at Millrace Pond) tagged This Insane Idea in one of their Instagram photos. We knew immediately that we had to book Mark. We went above our initial budget, and we felt confident doing so- I can tell you their prices are hugely fair and they deliver what they promise. We had an extremely helped Zoom call with Mark, and at first we’re very anxious because he was going to be sending two of his staff, Tom and Kristen because he personally was unavailable our date. He ensured that Tom came with him for our engagement session. I can tell you- there was absolutely ZERO reason for us to worry, and we knew this as soon as we met Mark and Tom. Mark and his team are truly artists, and can find beauty in the best of moments- I will never forget being crouched in my beautiful gown like Gollum, plowing my way through cocktail hour food in between photos- because they captured it. I love how they captured moments that were truly US, and how their portraits still managed to capture the many huge personalities of our families, friends, and us. They were excellent at communication, and made sure we were always in the loop. They walked us through our timeline in specific detail. And on the day of, as I was trying not to have a panic attack because we were running so behind (no fault of the photographers), Kristen and Tom more than kept it together, which made us feel so relaxed. They made sure to include a portrait of me and the ladies of my family where we were holding my mom’s wedding album, and I can’t tell you how much it meant to me. Even our detail photos were exceptional. I find myself looking at our photos frequently; reliving each moment they captured. We are so incredibly grateful to them for everything they did for us. I also wish I could express how important our engagement photos they took for us are to us. I weirdly am getting emotional writing this, because while you hire vendors and hope for the best- This Insane Idea gave us more than the best. I cannot recommend them enough!”
