The Hotel John Marshall opened in 1929 as the largest hotel in Virginia. Its rooms welcomed Elizabeth Taylor, Mary Tyler Moore, and Elvis Presley along with political figures such as Presidents Nixon, Ford, and Carter. After sitting vacant for over 20 years (save a few attempts to open) the building recently underwent an $80 Million renovation, spanning two years of construction to strip it back to the bones and restore it to its original 1920's grandeur.

Poplar Hill is a 100 acre farm that was built in 1790. The home is surrounded by mature landscape with English boxwoods and crepe myrtles that are 100 plus years old. We set up the ceremony chairs for our couples as well as the tables and chairs for the reception area before you arrive for your wedding day to reduce stress. Any decor items you need are set up by us such as shepherd hooks, easels, signs and much more. We also include lawn games and we have a firepit for use to add extra ambience. Best part we are across the road from the nearest hotel so guests can walk to our venue AND up to 18 guests can sleep over at Greenock for the whole weekend - so many more happy memories.
