When we found out Winter View Lodge had availability, we toured it a few days later and were immediately in love.\n\nThe venue owners and coordinator were incredible. They were so kind and accommodating, making the entire process feel seamless. When we mentioned wanting a cross at the altar, they went above and beyond—they built one for us, and it was absolutely beautiful. They even provided extra decorations, which helped us stay within budget, a huge plus!\n\nWe decided to rent the venue for the entire weekend, and it made the experience even more special. Spending extra time with family in such a stunning location was truly unforgettable. The team was incredibly helpful in setting everything up and ensuring we had everything we needed. They even had thoughtful details like extra ice, sewing kits, medications, and other essentials in the bathroom, which added an extra layer of care.\n\nFor the price we paid, the experience felt like five-star treatment. You can truly customize your wedding to be uniquely yours by going with them. \nOur wedding has people coming from nearby and out of state. We loved the fact that it’s located in the shadow of Mt. Rainier, on the gorgeous Naches River and in one of our favorite forests of all time. For us, it was the destination without the cost. Us and our guests made amazing memories before, during, and after the wedding.\n\nWe used their cabins and lodge rooms for our guests stay on site with us. In the evening we sat around a campfire before enjoying a soak in the hot tubs. \nThe wedding day started with decorating the tent and aisle with flowers. Bridal parties went off to get ready and then we had our first look. We had it on the backside of our cabin along the river, not only was it pretty but it was super private and intimate. We used the river and forest as the backdrop for the ceremony. It was a memorable aisle to walk down, and the pictures couldn’t have turned out better.\nWhistlin’ Jacks can cater or bar tend, but we opted to hire in a taco truck. We filled a canoe with ice and beverages. Whistlin’ Jacks refilled the ice for us as needed to keep the guests happy. It got a little chilly in the evening so they brought down a propane heater. \n\nWhistlin’ Jacks was extremely easy to coordinate with, and was very thoughtful to details. Kathy was extremely respectful, fast, and efficient in all of our communications during the planning process, which helped make organizing our special day smooth and stress-free. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and classy, with a gorgeous countryside backdrop that made for breathtaking photos. Our guests were raving about the charming venue all night long. On top of that, the venue rental cost was very reasonable and a great value for everything that was included. Having the Airbnbs on site for the whole bridal party all weekend gave the experience a relaxed, memorable vibe that went above and beyond just the wedding day itself. From start to finish, American Homestead Venue contributed so much beauty, organization, and lasting memories to our special
