We recently got married at YMCA Camp Pinewood and we are so happy with how everything went! We rented the camp for 3 days so our family and friends could enjoy a long weekend together after the wedding. The location is absolutely beautiful with more than enough space to host our group of about 80 guests, and a wide range of activities that we all enjoyed. The facilities are fairly rustic, but our guests were comfortable, and we were able to host the bridal party and older guests in the cabins with private rooms and AC. The staff was amazing to work with and made us and our guests feel so welcome and at ease. Leading up to the event, they answered our many questions quickly and helped us figure out logistics. During the event they were there for anything we or our guests needed, and helped coordinate the schedule, vendors, etc. By the end of the wedding we felt like part of one big family. We made so many great memories and we can't wait to go back to celebrate anniversaries! I can't recommend Camp Pinewood enough!

We had our wedding at this venue and it was everything we hoped for and more. The atmosphere was beautifully rustic, which created such a warm and charming backdrop for our big day. We used the space for both our ceremony and reception, and it worked out perfectly. One of the things we appreciated most was how flexible and accommodating the venue was. We were given access to the entire upstairs, including the back office, which was a great private space for me to get ready and stay tucked away before the ceremony. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully laid out. Parking was easy for our guests, and the venue was simple to find — a huge plus when hosting 65 people. Our guests fit comfortably with plenty of room to eat, dance, and mingle without feeling cramped. Jennifer, the event coordinator, was incredible. She was always available for questions, and communication throughout the planning process was clear and consistent. We were allowed to visit the venue multiple times to finalize details and even held our rehearsal there, which made everything run smoothly on the day of. The rest of the staff was just as attentive. My husband and I always had a drink in hand, and it felt like every little detail was taken care of without us needing to ask. The food — provided by the venue — was served buffet style and was a huge hit. I received so many compliments from guests throughout the evening about how good it was. I honestly wouldn’t change a thing about our experience. This venue made our wedding day feel seamless, personal, and truly special. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a space that is not only beautiful but also backed by a supportive, professional team.

The Cheney Place is an incredible choice for a wedding venue! The entire staff was incredibly kind and helpful. From the day we booked, they were always available to answer any questions or help with anything we needed. They make planning a breeze! Meg was our day of coordinator and she was so sweet and helpful. Coordinated with all of the vendors ahead of time and made sure everything was set up perfectly! Ellie took over later in the day and made sure everything went smoothly and cleaned everything up so quickly and helped us get all of our stuff! I cannot stop raving about how great they were! On top of the great staff, the venue is absolutely stunning. I received so many compliments on how gorgeous the venue was and how it was unique. The elevator entrance for the bride was also a huge hit!! 100% would recommend to anyone that they get married here!

It has been nearly four years since my wife and I were married in the Bissell Treehouse, and there's not a week that we don't look back at our photo album, and reminiscence of our amazing experience there. We worked with Skye through all of the planning and setup, and I cannot experience how unique, amazing, and beautiful the venue is. We called it our treehouse adventure, and it was nothing short of that. The layout is excellent, it has great views of Grand Rapids, many of the bigger vendors work with the Bissell Treehouse, and overall it was a very easy process to get everything setup and squared away. If you have the opportunity to work with them, do it, it will be remembered forever, by you and all of your guests.
