We especially appreciated how she captured her subjects both formally and with candid shots. She was professional easy to work with, but also fun and disarming. She understood our vision on the first call and contributed really exciting and inspirational ideas on how to capture our day, but also spent time with us to get a sense of our quirks and sense of humor. By the time our wedding day came, she folded right in with our friends and family and was able to seamlessly run through the important family photos we had planned. She worked really well with our other vendors and brought fun and levity to the day. What we really appreciated was that she would remind us of the schedule and what we originally decided on, but on the day was able to easily flex based on how the day was flowing. “Shukhrat Kamalov was a standout HIT. Our guests felt like absolute celebs! We didn't want the standard photobooth as it can come off a little too cheesy for my tastes. And since we were asking all of our guests to come dressed in their best, we decided it was only appropriate they also get their own designated photographer. Shukhrat took his time with each of our guest's photo sessions, directing them and taking multiple shots until our guests loved what he captured. AND he printed them out so our guests had something to bring home. All of our guests told us that these photos would be framed in their home . THEY WERE THAT GOOD.”

“My husband and I booked Blacktie Brothers as our videographer for our wedding in October 2023, and we could not have been more pleased. Mitchell, myself, and both of our families were SO impressed by your team at our wedding. On the day of our wedding, there were quite a few challenges to making the day go as smoothly as I had hoped, mainly the rain caused us to have to move our ceremony inside. The wedding coordinator associated with the venue did not follow up on a few of the tasks she had agreed to doing, namely being present during the photo session to make sure I was comfortable and hydrated. The entire media team at Blacktie Brothers stepped in and handled it so professionally, even getting me water when I felt faint from all of the commotion. Our day wouldn’t have gone as smoothly as it had without the help Blacktie Brothers gave us. We opted for the raw footage package, so we received an edited movie of our wedding as well as all the raw footage of our day on a thumb drive. The movie they made is amazing. The song they chose for the ceremony portion of the movie was a special choice— the lyrics reflected some aspects of our story as a couple. It was so thoughtfully crafted and makes me cry whenever I see it! The team was responsive and professional throughout the entire wedding planning process. Any question or concern we had was met with a genuine, timely response. The movie and the raw footage is now something we can have and share for the rest of our lives, and they so beautifully preserved the memory of our day. I have already recommended them to some friend getting married in upstate NY next year. Blacktie Brothers goes above and beyond, and was hands down one of our best vendors.”
