We had our wedding at The Red Barn this past May and everything was beyond perfect! Our wedding coordinator, Alex was so on top of everything during the planning stages and throughout the wedding itself. She is so incredible and we feel so lucky to have worked with her! The entire staff at The Red Barn was so amazing as well. The space is stunning and the food and drinks were incredible. We truly cannot say enough good things about The Red Barn! We had our reception and ceremony indoors and the fireplace backdrop was absolutely perfect. The space itself is beautiful and we really didn’t feel that we needed to do a ton of decorating which lessened stress and saved us on decor costs. However, all we really had to do was drop off what decorations we did have and Alex and her team took care of set up and breakdown with our vendors. We really didn’t have a single worry the weekend of the wedding. The amazing staff at The Red Barn took care of it all. We also stayed at Stage House Inn the weekend of the wedding and got ready there. Darien was a pleasure to work with and made coordinating room blocks so easy! The bridal suite comfortably fit all the girls getting ready (12 total people) plus 4 hair and makeup girls. It was also the perfect room for getting ready photos! We held our rehearsal lunch at The Links restaurant and the staff was so accommodating! We had a last minute reservation for around 25 and they took us no problem. Excellent and affordable food and drinks! Overall we had a perfect experience with every aspect of The Red Barn. We absolutely would recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect spot for their wedding!

Stage House Inn

Stage House Inn is a stately and elegant wedding venue. The property offers 20 unique guest rooms, private function spaces, and Dufour, an on-site award-winning restaurant and bar. The venue offers plenty of historical charm and Maine-style hospitality. The Stage House Inn specializes in hosting private events. These include micro weddings (for up to 70 guests), showers, corporate events, holiday parties, baptism celebrations, funeral receptions, celebrations of life, and other events for 25-150 guests. Since the late 1700s, the structure that now houses Stage House Inn and Dufour has served many purposes. From a private residence, it soon became a stagecoach stop where visitors would stop to eat and lodge at Frost Tavern. Following that, it was Paul’s Hotel, and eventually also served as a boarding house. Then, for nearly 70 years it was a convent run by the Sisters of St. Joseph Order. It was also a christian school. I had my engagement party here after hearing a recommendation on facebook, and I have to say I couldn’t have been happier. I had never booked an event before, let alone for myself, and Darien was so kind and patient with me. He walked me through everything and gave me really helpful suggestions. The space was ABSOLUTELY beautiful, and there was plenty of space for everyone. The food was sooo delicious, and there were a lot of different options for us to choose from. We had a few guests who are celiac and we felt confident that they would be able to eat without any problems. They loved the food too! We also picked a couple of drinks from their specialty drink list and they were so yummy too, the guests loved the south of the border lemonade the best! We loved it so much we decided to book our micro wedding there! We bought out the full venue, and used all of the rooms they have, plus rented out the house nearby (neally house). The rooms were clean and restored to look modern, but still had a historical touch. The micro wedding was just as great. We got married on the front lawn at the neally house and our guests just walked over to Dufour after. Everyone had such a wonderful evening. We really couldn’t have done any of it without Darien. Beautiful place, and wonderful staff. Highly recommend!

We had our first experience with Wandby Landing last weekend and our impression was such we felt a review was warranted. Having played over 600 weddings as a band over the last couple decades, every once in a while you get to work with a vendor who just gets it. They understand the importance of the entire day, from morning preparations to the late night after-party. It's almost impossible to maintain a timeline to the minute, but this was about as close as we've seen. Communication with the staff helped ensure guests were in their seats ready for the First Dance and toasts right on schedule, and from an entertainers perspective, this is EXACTLY what we want to see! This ensures that not only do guests get to enjoy one of the best wedding meals they'll ever experience, but they'll do so at a comfortable pace that leaves time for both an incredible meal AND a night full of dancing, and not just one or the other. We can't wait to be back!

Growing up in Kennebunkport we had high expectations for our wedding at The Colony. Of course, the venue speaks for itself as the perfect backdrop for any wedding. No one will question that The Colony offers the best grounds and views for a wedding held in Kennebunkport. Our wedding was 130 people and the lawn (ceremony), front porch (cocktail hour), and ballroom (reception) were all great spaces for our guests. Our wedding day far exceeded our expectations and was truly a magical day for us, our family, and our friends. What truly set this experience apart was our wedding coordinator, Nicole. Her dedication, creativity, and organization made the planning process seamless and enjoyable. She went above and beyond to ensure every detail was tailored to our vision. On the big day, we felt well prepared, and Nicole orchestrated everything flawlessly, allowing us to focus on enjoying each moment without any stress. We cannot thank her enough for the work put in to making the day perfect! Also of note, the food and drinks were exceptional, and we still have friends and family raving about the meal several months after the event (we went with the buffet option). We will happily recommend The Colony to anyone looking to have their special day in southern Maine!

The barn is large with 3 floors and plenty of room for dancing and eating! On any given day we could stop in to view the venue or drop off paperwork and we were sure to always leave with fresh fruit!

When my husband and I searched for the perfect wedding venue, we had only two "requirements". A water and mountain view. It's easy to say that Brewster's newly renovated Rogers Building fits the bill perfectly. As a graduate of Brewster, it was incredible to see this space take on a new form that is perfectly designed for an array of purposes and functions. The general aesthetic is modern and sleek but also allowed us to decorate and customize the space for our reception. Having a kitchen and bar steps away from the seating area allowed for easy access to food and drinks while still having room for 20 guest tables and a dance floor. There was plenty of space for our DJ with ample room for speakers, uplighting, and more. The service we received was stellar. The kind staff was friendly and helpful throughout the night and went above and beyond to provide a quality atmosphere and fantastic food to our guests. My husband and I were thrilled to be the first couple to use this space for their wedding reception. We highly recommend the Rogers Building to couples who are looking for beautiful views, friendly service, modern amenities, and competitive rates.

My husband and I got married here in September and I cannot say enough about Donna, Dionna, Chef Eides, and their team! We had the perfect day thanks to their help in the planning process and day of coordination and management. Our guests raved about the food, the bar, and most of all - the view. Not only was Dionna a partner in helping us secure our other vendors (who were 10/10 themselves!!), but she went above and beyond the day of to make sure every detail matched our vision. (You can see my face when we saw our reception space for the first time in the pictures.) If we had it to do all over again, we wouldn’t change a thing! Would highly recommend The View and their staff for any event needs!

Grill 28 is a very affordable venue with the luxury of the beautiful Pease Golf course. Grill 28 made it possible for us to have a bigger wedding we wanted. My husband got married there October 2023. Planning was very hands on. Not traditional wedding venue but still made a great effort in planning. We had an amazing experience planning up until the wedding. Food was great everyone enjoyed it. We were able to afford open bar for 3 hours and signature cocktails Our wedding day was rainy, at some points full out poring rain. I feel this threw a wrench in the day and to the staff. I would say the venue is not rain friendly . Pictures were hard as we couldn't take them on the golf course, We had to take them in the tent with them zipped not exactly what I pictured when I spent thousands on a photographer. We even took some pictures in the SIM room I fear that were worse look like a JCPenny backdrop. However before the rain we got to have our ceremony outside on the fairway and it was GORGEOUS. I will post some photos, the staff was very accommodating for the DJ , photographer, and videographer to get them shelter in case rain broke out. I sent pictures of how I wanted my tables and decor set up and they knocked the set up out the park it looked amazing We were promised to have a dedicated server to my husband and I to bring us drinks and hors d'oeuvres while we take all our pictures in-between ceremony, that never happened. In fact my husband and I didn't get any of our hors d'oeuvres and they told us they ran out and then supplemented with cheese and crackers. Last complaint is our card box with thousands of dollars was left in the tent after the wedding, my husband and I realized at 2am and had someone drive us to the venue to get the card box. We walked right into the tent and took it. I spoke with other friends and all their venue event mangers made sure the box was given to a family members or the couple before they left the wedding night or at least kept safe inside. We were really upset about this. I do believe the event manager we worked with is no longer at Grill 28. All in all, it is a beautiful venue at the right price if you get a good day. I'm sure its amazing and much smoother. Once we booked Grill 28 for our day I struggled to find reviews and pictures of the venue so I hope this help a future bride and the restaurant leaves my honesty

If you're considering Wentworth by the Sea hotel for your wedding venue - just do it! They truly went above and beyond and blew us out of the water. We went with the Little Harbor Package in the Grand Ballroom - we were treated like royalty. Any issue we may have come across (few if not any at all!) it was quickly settled with zero stress. If you're looking for a one stop shop for everything wedding - they supply an excellent list of vendors, everything is on site, champagne around every corner, and talk about luxurious and beautiful! Kate, Catherine, and the entire Wentworth staff were extremely attentive, in person and via email - they were just incredible and I couldn't speak more highly about their professionalism. Our wedding guests are still complimenting Wentworth by the Sea - especially the food! Food is something not many people expect to be blown away by at a wedding - but boy they didn't disappoint! Some guests said it was the best filet they had EVER had!!! All of the food - appetizers, salads, entrees, dessert - everything was mouthwatering and buzzworthy. Again, if you're considering booking Wentworth by the Sea Hotel - this is your sign to book! I can't say enough wonderful things about all the people involved and the property itself with all of its amenities! My husband and I had one goal in mind when we were planning our recent wedding: we wanted everyone to have fun! There is not a better place we could have imagined for our wedding than Bayside Bowl!! From our first FaceTime to the sweet note we just got in the mail two weeks after our wedding, every step of the process was smooth and we couldn't have been in better hands than with Micaela and the entire team at Bayside. With a wedding of a little over 100 people, we got pretty much unanimous feedback that our wedding at Bayside was one of the most fun that anyone had ever attended. In truth, this is largely due to the care and ease with which Micaela managed everything! We had an absolutely stress-free wedding and felt so well-taken care of throughout the event and in the run up. You'll enjoy the tasting event where you get to sample offerings from Bayside's awesome menu before your wedding, and the food was also a hit with the guests! We couldn't have wished for a more perfect wedding weekend than the one we had at Bayside.

  • Best for events with big guest lists
Choosing Camp Cody as our wedding venue was a huge decision and an excellent choice. Anna was so helpful throughout the process, and Dora was amazing weekend of–I never saw her standing still. The venue is so gorgeous, and being able to host our friends and family for a whole weekend made everything go by more slowly, with plenty of opportunities to connect with everyone. The Capture the Flag game we held morning of was a big highlight. The food was INCREDIBLE, and our guests haven’t stopped commenting on it. Everyone says you don’t eat at your wedding, and you better believe that was not true for us. As a person with a lot of food allergies, I’ve never felt more cared for and accommodated, and it was amazing to have that for our guests as well. In one notable moment, my cousin with celiac jumped with joy at the prospect of having gluten free pancakes and french toast for breakfast. The accommodations were comfortable, even in 30-40 degree temps overnight, the heat really works! Staying on site and not having to run around everywhere looking for everything and everyone made a big difference as someone without a planner. Also, arranging folks in cabins was not as stressful as we expected it to be. With our smaller wedding, we had plenty of space to spread people out. Thank you again to White Mountain Weddings for an amazing weekend!

Saltonstall Farm

Stratham, NH

  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $9,000

Historic, breath taking 4 story barn The farm and barn are about 200 years old, and the barn was originally used for cows. Over the years, it has been very well taken care of, so the original beams are still there, in sizes and shapes that you just can't get anymore! The owners are the third generation in their family to take care of the property and are very grateful to be the current stewards. The barn renovations completed in 2020 and it is all ADA compliant and up to code. In the barn, there is a full sound system, 14 chandeliers, a beautiful live edge bar top, two high end composting toilets (the flushing kind!), massive barn blue doors on each end, and a grand entrance staircase. The barn holds up to 200 people and is big enough that you don't have to rent a tent even with tables and chairs, a major benefit and money saver! In the event of rain, you can use the barn as a ceremony and reception space.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Private area for the wedding party
  • Unique barn setting
  • Wheelchair accessible

Venue considerations
