Prior to the wedding weekend, we walked the entire property together to discuss placement, flow and sound logistics since we had the ceremony and the toasts/dancing in two separate locations - both of which he covered seemlessly on the day of our wedding. Matt asked all the questions we hadn’t thought of yet ourselves :) even volunteering additional equipment to make logistics easier for the jazz band we hired. He took the time to build a thoughtful playlist that perfectly matched our preferred music styles and wove in song requests from our guests. The energy was fantastic, and the dance floor was always packed from moment we opened up the floor. I really appreciated the time and effort he took to insure that no details were missed. We booked a lighting package as well and our ceremony space looked even better than I could have imagined. Joey made sure the ceremony audio was perfect. Everyone could hear the whole ceremony which was really important to us. And when he played cello for our processional and recessional, the sound really filled the space and sounded beautiful. During our cocktail hour he played cello and did some beatboxing, we were so impressed and our guests loved it as well, they were talking about how good he was and how they could hardly believe it was live music. After dinner the dance floor was full the whole night. Even months later we still have people telling us how much fun they had dancing, how great our playlist was, and how much they liked our DJ. “Living Jade was the best decision we made for our wedding vendors. They played at our engagement party in Santa Barbara and our actual wedding in San Francisco. Steve encountered an issue with a band member. The singer got sick the day before the wedding, but he found a replacement that was outstanding. His network of musicians allowed him to resolve a major issue. My husband and I were happy that our contract was respected. On top of that, the energy of the band was amazing on stage.
