Janine and Lark have setup a beautiful rustic wedding venue on their property in Kiowa. An outdoor ceremony space looking out over fields to the east, a dedicated building for the bride and groom (and attendants) to get ready at the venue, a lovely barn for the reception with kitchen resources for the caterer, great outdoor seating, views of Pike’s Peak on a clear day, and even a mini-castle! Working with Janine and Lark was frictionless, they have the business end of their operation down. They were very responsive when we wanted to come out and visit and through the contract phase. Day of they were around if needed but let our wedding planners and vendors do their thing. Oh, and also there are llamas! Highly recommend this venue for your event, we had a small wedding of 55 which worked great but they can easily accommodate much larger groups.

Black Forest By Wedgewood Weddings was a beautiful, romantic, and nature-inspired venue for our wedding. While their communication style was not always the easiest, with a 6/10 rating, their incredible planning staff, kitchen crew, and bar staff more than made up for it. They were super professional and really wanted to make our special day exactly how we envisioned it. The venue itself was stunning, with a lovely natural setting that felt intimate and special. We got married in the loft in Nov. 2023 and it was perfect. We had our reception in the Grand Hall. It looked exactly as I had hoped.

This venue is beautiful!! We got married here in April (Mountainside ceremony, Colorado room cocktail hour and Albert’s lodge reception). It was the perfect Colorado backdrop for our out of town guests. The venue provides the chairs for ceremony, shuttle services between the ceremony and reception, and kept the fireplaces running throughout the night but the external vendors take care of pretty much everything else. Just remember that because of preferred/required vendors everything adds up quickly! We did have a great experience with all of the recommended and required vendors. The one thing I would have changed about the venue is if they could have opened the Colorado room wall/doors. It was 80 degrees but they don’t open them until after May 1.

From the moment we toured the venue, we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding — and the experience only exceeded our expectations. The venue itself is stunning, with a thoughtful layout that made it easy for all of our guests to feel included in every part of the celebration. Whether it was the ceremony, cocktail hour, or reception, everything flowed seamlessly and comfortably. A huge shoutout to Justin, our day-of coordinator, who was an absolute gem. He kept everything organized and on track without ever making it feel rushed or stressful. His calm, professional, and friendly presence made all the difference — we truly felt like we could trust him with anything, and he delivered above and beyond. Communication leading up to the day was also outstanding. The staff was always quick to respond, clear with details, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. Their recommended vendor list was also a huge plus — it felt like working with one big family of professionals who all knew the venue and worked together beautifully. That level of coordination made the planning process so much easier and more enjoyable. We wholeheartedly recommend The Oaks at Plum Creek. Great options to customize the space included having the large garage style doors open, gas fireplaces, heaters, adjustable lighting, variety of table sizes, plenty of chairs and a sound system. The kitchen and bar area were great since the party was self-catered. The Grange staff was very helpful and kind. Highly recommend this venue and the price cannot be beat!

I am in AWE. Number 1, having a wedding coordinator is a must. And Natalie was amazing!! She took care of everything, from planning meetings, final meetings, rehearsal, day of timing and keeping everything on track. She is marvelous. This venue is mostly all included, DJ, catering, table settings, center pieces. And I love that you can do the ceremony and reception all in once place. It has the coziest mountain feeling to it while still being extremely classy. Food tastes amazing, the DJ service is very personalized - and they help you the whole entire way. You get this giant planning book once you officially book & it really helps. Anytime we had random concerns or questions we would just email them and be contacted back within the same day. The price fully depends on how many guests you plan on having, we had a 53 person wedding and it was VERY affordable for an all included place. They also do all your day of set up including any decor you choose to provide at the rehearsal! You also get access to the bridal / groom suites a few hours before the ceremony. Wedgewood made the planning actually fun and enjoyable! I was stress feee the entire day! Lots of adorable places for photos too, especially in the fall with all the colors. Thank you Wedgewood for making mine and Tyler’s day PERFECT.
