“Sound Originals was beyond incredible for my wedding. I communicated to them that I wanted to add video a few months out from my wedding and it was a stress free process. My husband and I are a bit awkward when taking photos and my photographer and videographer were so great in helping us get comfortable and trying different poses that made us less awkward in front of the camera. They both helped keep the energy high all throughout the night and my only regret was not hiring them for longer to capture things that had happened after they left. My bridal party and guests were telling me how great my photographer and videographer were. We are Joe and Katye Brier, and picture-making is a daily passion and pursuit in our family. “While researching wedding photographers, my wife and I stumbled upon HC's work and we knew we had to reach out. For our small wedding, we only needed one photographer, and Joe was everything we were looking for. We didn't need a bunch of portraits of the wedding party and family, and only had a rough idea of a post-ceremony photo-op. We basically told Joe to think photo-journalism and gave him complete freedom. We're so happy with the results. There are so many candid moments that you will completely miss on your wedding day, and his stealthy patience and perspective showed us things that we would have never noticed. He has a really fantastic eye and sense of moment. Communication was great, and his attitude was unrelentingly positive. “Working with Kara was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the very beginning of the planning process, she was not only our photographer but also a calm, grounding, and incredibly helpful presence. She offered guidance every step of the way and made us feel so supported—not just on the day of, but in all the moments leading up to it! On the actual wedding day, Kara felt like so much more than a vendor—it honestly felt like having my best friend there with me. She was my personal cheerleader, helping calm my jitters and soaking up the joy of the day right alongside us. She celebrated our love with such genuine excitement, and her energy was so comforting. I felt like she was truly invested in us as a couple, which made every interaction feel so personal and special! There were so many little moments that I’ll never forget—like when she asked for a Diet Coke at the end of the night (which i am a diet coke girlie myself), and I thought, Yaaaas!!! I LOVE her! Or when she told my husband to keep holding my hand during the day—something so small, but it meant so much, and she made sure we stayed connected in those in-between moments that pass so quickly! Kara thought of everything... including scheduling 10 private minutes for my husband and me right after the ceremony—just the two of us, cocktails in hand, tucked away in the quiet of the cabin basement. That memory still gives me chills.. even as I write this! It was exactly what we needed, and it wouldn’t have happened without her thoughtful planning! She captured every single moment with such grace and artistry. One of my favorite stories is one I didn’t even witness myself—when my sister and I danced to “Where the Wild Things Are” by Luke Combs, and our guests told us later that Kara was tearing up. That alone tells you everything you need to know about how much she truly cares about her couples and their families. She worked seamlessly with our videographer—it truly felt like a dream team—and my family and husband adored her just as much as I did. Kara fit in so naturally, like she was part of the family. And even after the wedding, we’ve stayed in touch and continued cheering each other on. I feel like we’ve formed such a special bond, and I’m so grateful for that. Kara is not only an incredibly talented photographer, but a beautiful human being. I would recommend her to absolutely anyone. You would be beyond lucky to have her document your love story or any milestone in your life. We cannot wait for her to capture the next chapter in ours!!”
