Mountain Shadows Retreat (The Anti-Venue) has been an absolute dream to work with for our wedding! From the moment we reached out, their team was incredibly responsive, friendly, and easy to talk to. Unlike any other venue I've been to, the Mountain Shadows team went above and beyond to ensure our special day will be perfect. We get married in 2025 and they are very flexible with us visiting the venue beforehand to ensure we were ready to go by wedding day. The team is a true pleasure to work with, and we can't wait to celebrate our marriage at this one-of-a-kind venue next year. Highly recommend to any couple looking for a unique and personalized wedding experience!

Nestled in the heart of Sutter Creek, our venue is just steps from one of California’s most charming small towns. Main Street is lined with wine tasting rooms, cozy restaurants, local bars, and welcoming shops — all walkable and full of character. With boutique hotels and inns within walking distance, your guests can settle in and fully enjoy the weekend — no shuttles or long drives required. Located in Amador County’s wine country, the region offers Napa-like roads & wineries without the crowds — making it the perfect backdrop for a relaxed and unforgettable celebration. It's Northern California's best kept secret. And with Sacramento just an hour away and San Francisco only two, it’s an easy escape that feels worlds away.

We recently visited The Hanford Garden and wow—pictures seriously don’t do it justice. The space is so beautiful, and you can already see how much love and intention is being poured into it. Sabrina and the new team have been amazing—so helpful, kind, and detail-oriented. You can tell they really care about making every corner perfect and creating an incredible experience for their couples. The communication alone has been impressive. It’s clear they’re investing a lot to elevate the space while keeping its charm. Love love love this venue!

I would highly recommend this venue. It was perfect for our simple beach/woods themed wedding. We only had a few decorations because the gorgeous view of the lake is your decor! We had the ceremony on the beach and the reception a few feet away on their newly remodeled deck. The food was tasty and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We used our own DJ bu the venue accommodated all of our needs. Lyric was the best! She had great communication through our the whole wedding planning and the day of, she was there for my every need! This venue is a 5 minute drive from the casinos where you can continue your party. They have a shuttle service you can book to shuttle everyone to the casinos as well! Lastly, our wedding pictures were GORGEOUS. I had several with the beautiful Tahoe sunset in the back drop and several with the vibrant green Forrest behind us. Overall, I would give this venue a 10/10!!!
