Stroudsmoor is the real deal. When we got engaged, my top priority was that I did not want to be stressed on my wedding day. Leading up to the day, I knew there was a lot of work, a lot of planning, but on my actual wedding day, I wanted to take care of nothing. I wanted to be in charge of nothing. I used to work in events, and I know the depth and insanity that comes with planning an event and how hard the actual event day can be. I knew that whatever venue we picked, it would need to be as all-inclusive and simple as possible. Everything about Stroudsmoor was a dream. The entire process was seamless. They were so professional. They were upfront on costs. Any service they did not offer themselves they had a list of preferred, recommended vendors. Leading up to the wedding day, we met with our planner, Kaylie, regularly, their on-site florist, Grayson, and Gina and the whole team at the bridal salon were incredible. They walked us through everything, step-by-step. We got married at Woodsgate this summer – surrounded by the forest, it was absolutely gorgeous and everything we could have hoped for. We are so happy we chose them and we will continue to recommend them to everyone! Photography Credit: Marshall Scott Photography https://marshallscottphotography.com/

The venue was beautifully decorated, the food was delicious, and the staff was friendly and efficient. The birthday party was a huge success, and all of my guests had an amazing time. Cannot say enough good things about Sylvan Ridge, where we had the most magical wedding weekend earlier this month. It was only the 2nd venue we visited, and we fell in love with it immediately. Absolutely gorgeous space, and all beautifully maintained - from the farmhouse cottage that sleep 16 (so we could stay onsite with our wedding party), to the courtyard space with lovely mountain views, to the barn itself (two levels, fully customizable, with plenty of dance floor left over), to the fairy circle and firepit in the woods where they'll even start the fire for you. We loved that we were able to book an entire weekend, having the place for three days really made it a special experience. Linnea, the owner, is kind, helpful, and super easy to work with; Alyssa is their amazing planner and helped make sure our entire timeline was built out and everything was just right. The photos are stunning and we'll treasure all the memories - from relaxing at the house to the rehearsal dinner to the wonderful wedding day itself, we couldn't be happier. We also LOVED that the venue is dog friendly, so that we could have our dog Miya right there as the ringbearer as well! Thanks Linnea and Alyssa! :)

Ozzy's and her staff were overtime to make sure our day was everything we wanted it to be. They even helped set out our decorations. I can't say enough great things about this place. Weddings are stressful and Ozzy tries her best to take as much pressure as possible. This place is gorgeous and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

  • Venue feels large for events with small guest lists
Having our wedding at Handsome Hollow was an absolute dream. Kate and her team are professional, thorough, and beyond helpful before and on the day of the wedding. The location and grounds are stunning! We chose to have our ceremony in the fern forest a little ways up from the barn - it's like walking into a fairytale. The barn is a beautiful reception space that's open, inviting, and even more magical after sunset under the glowing string lights! We had a few guests including a couple of our family members who required assistance walking at certain times, but that was not a problem at all... The team communicates like special special forces to make sure everyone is comfortable and anyone requiring assistance gets shuttled swiftly by an off road buggy wherever they need to go! We also got shuttled as Bride & Groom does have it's privelages :) It was such a relief to know everyone was taken care of. Staying in the guest house was fantastic. The morning of the wedding I got ready upstairs in the barn loft, while my wife had the farmhouse the with hair/makeup and all of that. It's such a cute house, and was so nice to not have any traveling before our big day. Everything you would need is stocked at the farmhouse and help always seemed readily available if needed. It was just the relaxed easy going atmosphere we needed to chill out as much as possible before the wedding. There are so many great nooks and places for photo ops at Handsome Hollow! For a summer day it wasn't too hot at all, maybe the elevation helps a bit with that! It was warm before the ceremony when we took some photos in the sun, but we just cooled down in the farmhouse afterwards. The ceremony in the fern garden was under cover of trees so it was perfectly cool (both temperature and vibes!) The barn just seems to stay cool also, so that was no issue at all. We didn't get a chance to eat our desserts, so the team brought them up to the farmhouse for us to enjoy after the wedding was over. It's that level of hospitality, and so appreciated. My only regret is that I couldn't split myself into two people so I could not only get married, but also see the food buffet, see the s'mores by the campfire, watch our first dance (we nailed it!!). Luckily we had a phenomenal wedding planner (Lauren / Wild Blooms Bridal), and phenomenal photographer (Joshua Brown) to compliment the venue! It was truly an amazing day, and we can't thank you enough. You cannot go wrong with Handsome Hollow!!!

After my first visit with my wife to escape the daily grind and surprise her with a romantic weekend, we returned with the kids a second time and had a ball. This is heaven on Earth for us, and not so far away from NYC. The grounds are magical and the compound has everything we needed, including wood for the raging fire we made. Where do we even begin! We had our wedding November 30th, 2024 and had the absolute most perfect special day. We originally toured with Kyle and knew from then this would be our venue. Out of all the venues we toured, he was the most descriptive and passionate, answering any and all questions. From then on, everything was absolutely seamless and easy in every way. Jessica, who does floral and design…NO WORDS. She is an absolute gem to work with and master of florals. I had a very specific vision with colors and she made our wildest dreams come true. She met with me multiple times to ensure what I envisioned was what I wanted, and answered every single email so fast with my questions/changes/comments. Katrina was our coordinator through CKE, and was lovely to work with. She was there to answer any and all questions and extremely communicative leading up to wedding day when things can become stressful :) Day of she was also somehow always by our side the second we needed something. Lastly, the food…guests are still raving about it. It is beyond delicious and there are tons and tons of options to choose from. I have to give a special shoutout to the Lechon station, as people will not stop talking about how unique and amazing it was. We cannot thank the team at Crossed Keys enough for the dedication and attention to detail they put into making our day perfect. The communication is top notch, the food is beyond amazing, and the florals went beyond our wildest dreams.

Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the venue, with many comparing it to something straight out of a Hallmark movie. The property is absolutely magical. The food, the ambiance, the cozy spaces throughout the property, and the beautifully appointed rooms all contribute to making this venue one-of-a-kind in the Catskills.
