That one photo inspired us to review the gallery of their entire wedding and then her portfolio and we were blown away. 7 months later our own wedding day arrived. My husband and I are the type of people who are wildly present and constantly forget to take photographs of our life together. We knew we wanted to capture this day without the photography becoming a chore or hindering our ability to do what we do best and enjoy our time. Nina was able to provide just that and was incredible (as was the second photographer she worked with for our big day). “Working with Villa was one of the best choices we made as part of wedding planning. During the initial planning, she was responsive, thoughtful, and considerate of our vision. She understands that most people have never planned a wedding before helped us not only plan photos, but reorganize our reception to flow better. My husband and I are very photo shy, enough so that we debated on whether or not to even hire a photographer for the wedding. Villa was so great at directing interesting, natural poses that didn't feel forced or awkward in the moment. We opt-ed not to do an engagement shoot, but if we had to do it all over again, we absolutely would with Villa. During day of, Villa was extremely detailed and organized. She arrived early to the venue to capture photos and understand the space overall. She was very good about taking photos in a way that didn't interrupt the flow of events while navigating a fairly large and irregularly shaped venue. We received a great blend of editorial and photo-journalistic images that really captured the day beautifully. She has a great eye for wide shots, close up details, and artistic framing. Our wedding day started on a sunny day at noon and ended in the evening. Villa shot great photos throughout all the lighting changes during the day including many flash photography and low light shots after the sun had set. We had a great experience sharing our wedding day with Villa and think you would too!”
