Jim and Christy Hutchison built their barn 20 years ago with the help of family and friends. Initially meant for their kids' 4H animals, the barn hosted their children's weddings in 2013 and 2015. Enjoying the love and gatherings the barn brought, they decided to share it with others, becoming a county-approved venue in 2015. Surrounded by stunning mountain views, tall cedars, weeping willows, and prairie fields, The Mason Jar offers a 3-day relaxed environment for weddings. The Hutchisons provide ample time for decorating, rehearsing, and celebrating without rushing, keeping pricing affordable with available decor to help reduce costs. Family-run and oriented, they believe in community support and annually donate a wedding to a deserving couple, embodying the heart and soul of The Mason Jar.

Built in the 1940’s, this historic New England Style Bank Barn offers a unique and elegant backdrop for your wedding. The spacious 6,000 square foot chandelier-lit interior offers two floors of entertainment area with peek a boo mountain views and deck overlooking the farm. Originally a Ford Dealership, City Farm Chehalis is history like no other. Works of art from the 18th and 19th century abound while period furniture compliments the décor. The Vintage Grand Room, Clubhouse and Rooftop Patio are available for banquets, weddings, receptions, meetings and any other special event. The grand room is approximately 6000 sq ft of 1889 charm and can accommodate up to 250 guests. Original hardwood floors and beautiful brick give it a true vintage feel. The room is surrounded with white tree lighting, which provides a great ambiance. A bride room is located on the first floor of the Hotel Washington building, and can be added to any rental. The building also features an elevator which provides access to all three levels of the building.

We have a barn that was built over 100 years ago but is newly renovated for all your Event needs. We have a loft for indoor ceremonies that can hold 130 people or we have outdoor options that can accommodate more guests.

We are a new venue, but we love this special place so much and wanted to share its beauty with others. The ceremony space is beneath the canopy of an old-growth spruce tree beside a creek. We were married in this spot and it was truly magical! There is an open-air field just beyond the tree that is available as a reception space. We offer a bridal dressing room within a 10'x10' decorated "glamping" tent. We also have the add-on option of a 15'x20' event tent available (please see pictures in the gallery). If you're interested, we also have goats, pigs, chickens, and old farm implements available for photo opportunities. We also now provide string lights and electricity (suitable for a food truck) in the reception field!
