Walnut Hall Estate is an all-inclusive wedding venue on 12 acres, offering an indoor and outdoor ceremony sites, separate bridal suite and grooms quarters, an indoor reception hall with a customizable bar package and two separate houses that collectively accommodate you, and up to 24+ of your overnight guests. Plus you get access to the grounds the day before your wedding until the day after your wedding. Sitting only an hour from St. Louis, MO and Springfield, IL. Our historic event venue in Springfield has a distinctive and beautiful architectural design which is the perfect balance of vintage character, with an intimate vibe. This unique 2 story building features exposed trusses and wood beams, a huge candelabra chandelier, carved stone fireplace, large circle headed front windows, mezzanine balcony, imported quarry tile, palm modeled plaster walls, and many other original architectural elements.

Our venue is nestled on 36 acres and features 2 ponds with fountains. The building was once an airplane hangar - during your event the large door can be opened for an indoor/outdoor experience. The property boasts 2 bridal suites, a man cave with a bar, pool table, & theater room as well as a home that will sleep 17 and a seasonal pool. One of the most popular amenities (and we offer so many resources to our couples) we offer is our extensive decorations collection that you can use - free of charge. And after your wedding? No cleaning up at The Hangar! Our staff is onsite the entire evening cleaning and at the end of the night they pack everything away!

Welcome to the Firefighters Postal Lake Club. FFPLC is a private club where members and their families can enjoy boating, lake activities, family events, date nights, or just simply hanging out and enjoying the club and surrounding area. In addition to our beautiful bar and banquet hall, we have a playground, patio, covered pavilion, horseshoe pits, and access to Lake Springfield. We take great pride in our annual Lenten Fish Fries, Chicken Fry and Labor Day Party as well as many other social events open to the public.

Darrell Best & his wife Lisa are non-denominational ordained ministers — often referred to as licensed wedding officiants — offering affordable and convenient packages to complement and honor your special day. Darrell Best was an over-worked and underappreciated banker and his wife Lisa, a much-appreciated home daycare provider. They took a leap of faith by purchasing a 1942 American LaFrance firetruck to start a business to be called Red Hot Weddings.

Honorably named “Best Man” the mobile chapel is recognized as the world’s fastest wedding chapel by Guinness World Records. Our 1942 American La France mobile chapel is the result of a $100,000 conversion on the famed TV show Trick My Truck. It features stained glass windows, an altar, two wooden pews, and even an organ. It’s been covered by the biggest news and media outlets across the globe including World News with Charles Gibson. It’s also been featured in the LA Times, National Enquirer, and made a special trip to New York City for a photoshoot with international fashion designer Betsey Johnson! We can marry you on the road or parked at your chosen location with an unlimited guest list and then deliver you right to the reception! The ideas are limitless! The Best Man may only be scheduled for use in the Midwest from the first day of Spring to Halloween.
