She was also great about just checking in with us to make sure we were feeling good about everything throughout the process. While we had ideas of what we did and didn't want, we didn't always have clear visions, but she found ways to take our ideas and make them really spectacular. The entire wedding felt very personalized and unique, and so stunning and elegant. She really gets to know her clients very personally and has a talent for translating that into an event that encapsulates them perfectly. Finally, the entire planning process and especially the day of were so easy, both for us and for our families. Jennifer handled every detail and made sure our day was absolutely perfect. If anything went wrong, we never knew it, and it was so great not having to stress or worry about anything the whole weekend because we knew Jennifer had it all covered. The communication between her and my daughter was excellent. Sam was very prompt with answering any of my daughter’s questions prior, during and after the wedding. Her service fee is VERY reasonable. She traveled from Dayton, three hours each way, for the rehearsal and for the wedding !! Sam and her team helped box all the centerpieces and miscellaneous items while we were still enjoying the evening. This was a huge help and I was very thankful for the extra time that was freed up for us to spend with family and friends. There was a small hiccup with our food caterer and Sam quickly jumped in and solved the problem. I could not have asked for a more perfect day for my daughter, it was everything she dreamed of and we were all stress free thanks to Sam. I would HIGHLY recommend The Black Barn Event Planning. Sam is amazing at what she does!!”

She also creates a whole day timeline for your vendors and family members. The day of the wedding, she did FAR more than what I would’ve imagined - she had a whole emergency kit (think sewing kit, tampons, q-tips/tissues, a personal portable fan, bandaids, and more! I think she said she even had toiletries for the bathroom?!), a steamer to steam my wedding dress and the moms’ and SIL’s dresses, having everyone stick to the timeline, welcoming/directing guests as they walked through the venue (we had 3 room changes), moving rentals from one space to another, to dropping off my florals for preservation! She was great to work with!”
