Our little slice of secluded paradise is located in the countryside just west of Danville, IL. We have been blessed to serve friends from Vermilion County & Champaign County as well as several of our out of state friends from Indiana, Colorado, Ohio and beyond. We are located in Southern Edgar County out in the country on a pond. We opened in August of 2010 and produce and bottle our own wine. Our banquet hall is 40x60. area. We have a stone fireplace on the South wall and a stone bar. The rest of the room is open. There is a separate door that enters the banquet hall from the outside, and an exit door to the wine garden outside. If you rent our banquet hall, we will supply you with tables & chairs. The tables will have white tablecloths. We do have a beer & liquor license, but this is for special events only and needs to be mentioned at the time of booking your event.

Company 421 was established in 2021 as the perfect space to host an intimate gathering. Owner Hillary of Hillary Rae Events found that she was running into problems when trying to find a local venue space for her events less than 100 people that made her clients feel at home. That is what led her to establish Company 421 the perfect space to host small intimate weddings, rehearsal dinners, wedding showers, baby showers and so much more. Her goal was to create a space that her clients felt at home and comfortable, without having to deal with the stress involved with hosting a small gathering at her client’s actual house.

The venue was recently renovated and includes projectors and accent walls perfect for picture backdrops. The 1950's barn, nestled on the corner of a forty-acre farm on the Indiana/Illinois state line, has been renovated into an event venue that could comfortably seat over 350 people. Some highlights include a foyer that could be driven through, the ballroom boasting five chandeliers, heating/cooling, kitchenettes, changing rooms, restrooms, an outdoor pavilion, numerous outdoor ceremony locations, and grounds with mature trees.

The Old Rugged Barn property is extremely versatile and the perfect location for your rustic wedding and reception. On the property, there is a large main barn with a 2000 sq ft main floor and a large loft overlooking the aisle and dance floor. In addition to this main building, a large enclosed pavilion and grain bin gazebo also sit on the property, with multiple pastures surrounding it for either parking purposes or use for event activities. Ceremonies can be held in any of the buildings, or outdoors, so the venue can accommodate and bring to life any of your rustic wedding dreams!
